Yes! I purchased the kit but only needed the small pop-up "Valve" part, so I removed the green cap, unscrewed the top, and inserted it. It was a success.
I found several stems on Amazon after a quick search. I'm not sure how long your stem is, but I'm sure it'll be easy to locate.
This is, without a doubt, the proper repair kit.
I believe it does, to the best of my memory. In fact, a washer and bolt that appear to go on the end of the faucet are shown in the contents picture (bottom center).

My 18-year-old faucet started leaking water when I turned it on or off, and it got worse as time went on. I tried going to the local DIY stores for replacements but couldn't find anything that worked, so I was on the verge of calling a plumber. I went to the Prier website and discovered that this kit combines two other kits to provide all of the necessary components. My son fixed the faucet in about half an hour, and I like the new handle because it's a little easier to grip, and the top valve has a metal cap rather than a plastic cap. br>br>I bought a second kit so that if the faucet on the other side of my house starts to leak, I'll have the parts on hand.
I was in desperate need of something like this. No leaks! Amazing. Very good quality.
My hose bib was gushing water like a geyser from the handle. I'd never repaired anything like this before, but I'm fairly handy, and after watching a video on the manufacturer's website, I decided I could handle it, so I ordered the entire set. Although I only required a few of the items, the entire kit is only $2 more. I got it, replaced the parts, and it now works like a charm!.
This kit came in handy after several trips to the big box hardware store where "the plumbing guy" gave me bad advice and the wrong product. It was perfect for my leaky faucet, and the constant drip is no longer an issue; this was especially important because I was installing a sprinkler station on the hose bib, which meant leaving the water on all the time.
I had everything I needed in this kit. It was simple to set up - I did install one piece backwards because of how it flipped when I removed it, and I had to take it out and correct it, so watch the video on the Prier website. But, aside from that, I'm pleased with my purchase, and it's nice to have a hydrant that doesn't drip anymore.
YES! My back spigot had been leaking for three years. When I wasn't using it, I had to turn it off from inside my house. If I hadn't found a video online, I would have had no idea that this could even be repaired! Regardless, I dismantled my entire system, which is relatively simple if you've never done it before. The end oring had been damaged, resulting in the drip, drip, drip. I figured I'd just buy the entire kit and replace everything. The handle is the only thing that's different. It's a little thicker than the one on my Prier fire hydrant. Everything else works, but guess what happens when I turn the handle to off? no drips! I'm overjoyed that I discovered this, and I'm kicking myself for not doing so sooner. It would have made my life a lot easier if I had known that a spigot could be repaired rather than calling a plumber who wants $300 to replace it! a br>br>- a br>br>- a br>br>- a br>br>- a br>b Nigel.
The last handle was chewed by my dog, so I took it off and lost it. I couldn't find any replacement handles with the oblong stem shape anywhere, so I went to Amazon. I'm not sure if my faucet is a Prier, but I was able to see a small image that led me to believe it might fit. It fit like a glove, to be sure. I didn't use any of the included adapters because it was sturdy and hefty.
The entire rebuild kit was installed in less than 15 minutes. A pair of plumber's pliers and a two-screwdriver are all you'll need. On the back of the package, there are basic diagram instructions, but it's just a matter of removing and replacing like parts one by one. Any homeowner should be able to complete this task.
