Rather than using plastic hose washers, I was searching for rubber hose washers. It actually was hose washers and I was wondering how silicone washers would work. I ordered some of these and added them to my order. When I returned to the description after receiving my order, I read it again. It was described accurately by the seller and a disclaimer was included about not fitting garden hoses. As a result, I didn't return or request a refund, since it was my mistake. In the event of a leak, I can easily replace the gaskets in my shower head.
As far as I can tell, the washer fits perfectly into the 1/2 inch NPT fitting on a shower hose and it seems to seal the fitting. I agree, but. No need to worry about a tight fit. The washer falls right out of the hose if I remove the handheld shower head for any reason. I like it, but I wish it were just a little bit bigger for me to use.
