A stem washer is not required. I want to replace my hose bibbs because they are leaking at the handle and I was hoping that this kit would do the job. Despite the fact that it's full of seat washers (the washer at the bottom attached by a screw), there is not one stem washer in the kit. This is not the kit you want to buy if you're looking for stem washers.
