I moved into my new home a few years ago, and with winter here, we are taking care of A hole exists where the water line enters the wall (as well as the water supply for the various bathroom sinks) for all of the toilets in the house. There are several ways that I can mask these without removing the piping, etc. I looked them up on the internet. The cost of that is just too high. There you have it, For $15, you can get ten. I was not impressed with the product but it arrived promptly (just a few days from CA to MD). I installed it as described, and it was very simple. The visible water lines also need to be corrected. I think it has made a big difference. It takes roughly 10 seconds for each one to install. Take a look at the before and after photos.
My bathroom has a number of holes in the wall where the valves come out for the toilet and sink. I bought these to cover up the holes in the walls. Installing them is a huge pain, even though they get the job done. It's worth it when you see the result. Furthermore, the chrome coating is far too susceptible to scratching off.
I changed all the shut-offs in my house after the valves were installed and installed these instead.
It's easy to affix (install). There are a lot here, but I have used almost all of them. I'm not sure why I have so many.
The covers are made of plastic instead of metal, so they won't be rusty. You can slice and install this with an ordinary utility knife. I was surprised to find that I used almost every one in the pack after going through the entire house.
The split in the pipe bends makes them easy to bend around pipes, but the chrome "shattered" when I tried to bend them. There should be a mark indicating they cannot be bent.
The chrome-plated plastic covers fit perfectly on the chrome play set! Then you carefully slice along the scored line and stretch them over the 1/2 " copper pipe. They look great and the best part is that the don't.
I found the plastic covers to be of poor quality as well. Those aren't the types of products I would recommend.
