This was purchased for use in my remodeling business. Basement remodels that include kitchens and full bathrooms are a lot of what I do. A slab of concrete 4" thick can be cut without difficulty with this saw. The water system does a great job of keeping dust to a The flex hose that was seen on tv stores and can be rolled up easily after use worked great for me. As I think the only weak point with the saw was its connection to the water system, this worked perfect for the attachment. Batteries are an issue, but I have a large collection of Makita tools and batteries to take care of that. To me, it seems like cutting concrete block is a breeze. I am pleased to report that the Masonry blade I purchased worked perfectly. The first time I used it, it paid for itself. A little pricey, but I think it was worthwhile. A fresh battery powering 8 or 10 5amp batteries was probably enough for me to cut about 40 feet of concrete in a few hours.
It is only used for concrete jobs, but it performs well on smaller jobs as well. I HAD A GAS-POWERED ONE AND THIS IS SO MUCH MORE HANDY. DUE TO POOR DESIGN, THE HOSE CONNECTION.
