DIY projects will benefit from this
4/5

For some flooring and trim work, I needed a miter saw. I'm sure I'll put it to good use in future DIY projects. I looked in several big box stores for a miter saw, but I didn't want to spend $300 on one. I spent 00 on one, knowing I'd only use it once in a while; it makes a square cut and works well for the price; it's also very light and portable. The thinner plastic and thinner base, I believe, are the reasons for its light weight. This isn't a heavy-duty saw, but it'll suffice for the average homeowner. br>br>Consbr>Pricebr>$100. There are serious QA issues that could lead to injury
3/5

I've unpacked and assembled it so far. The lower blade guard is very loose and can easily touch the blade when in use, according to my observations. In addition, the blade guard is made of cheap, brittle plastic. Before turning it on and testing it out, I'll put on some safety gear. br>Recent changes: I removed the saw blade to see if I could tighten the lower blade guard, but it didn't seem to do so. This is a significant flaw in the design. I guess this is the last time I'll try this brand. It is too risky to use. I'll be back. br>It's a shame that companies don't fix design flaws before selling their goods.

It is a waste of time
3/5

After I finished putting it together, I thought it would be fun to share it with you Furthermore, the instructions are a complete disaster - One of the table plates fell out of the bottom when I picked it up to place it on a base. To replace the plate, I'd have to disassemble the entire saw, and I have no way of knowing if the other one is still in there. Instead of rebuilding it, I'm giving it back. A new item should not need to be rebuilt before it can be used. However, if you purchased the C10FCG model (either Hitachi or Metabo - see below), you will receive the following benefits. It would probably be a good DIY saw for occasional use if they were identical) and it was assembled correctly. Personally, I intend to purchase a higher-quality saw.

Amazing value for money
5/5

This little saw is well worth the money. I thought I had made a mistake by purchasing a smaller saw for the projects I was working on, but it turned out to be far more capable than I had anticipated. To finish a full built-in closet, I used both a Dewalt table saw and this saw. I didn't have to make many adjustments right away.

I'm really enjoying it
4/5

I got this to lay down some baseboards, which I'd never done before. Obviously, I have nothing to compare it to, and my decision was based on my financial constraints. A quick glance at the manual after unboxing and getting everything ready for setup warned me that this setup would cause a lot of head scratching. The manual is a jumble of poorly drawn diagrams and indicators pointing in general directions, as well as a hex key that has nothing to do with the unit and for which I have no idea what it's for. The manual muddles what should be a simple set up that takes no more than 20 minutes; I'm sure there's a video on YouTube with way too much talking that we usually skip over, mainly because most of us just want to get started and not be lectured by some guy in a reverse baseball cap. So, how did it go from the perspective of a first-timer? I began with a few practice cuts, adjusting the tilt and angle, before beginning, and it was much easier than I had anticipated, with corners that were tight and even. My only issue was with small bevelled cuts that were too small to clamp or take a fraction smaller; it was inconvenient because it affected accuracy. Overall, for my skill level and simple projects, it's a fantastic purchase. Be aware that experienced buyers may have unrealistic expectations for a saw at this price point.

The aesthetics of this saw are appealing. It's strong, heavy-duty, stable, and precise when cutting. It is extremely popular with my husband. Slowly but steadily, he is constructing his woodworking shop.

This is a good option for laypeople, but not for contractors
3/5

However, it is a reasonable and less expensive alternative. This is a good option if you only need something inexpensive to complete a few tasks. What you pay for is exactly what you get. It cut well, but the rest of the product was noticeably low-quality (though it was still a good value for money). In retrospect, I would have preferred to pay 65-70 dollars. It was nice to have a lower-cost option, and it's pretty good for what it is. br>br>I only gave three stars instead of four because one of the mounting bolts was cracked when it arrived. This is not a good sign of long-term viability. Metal base for a low price.

This is a very good 10" miter saw from a quality manufacturer
5/5

Except for the tilt, larger saw blade, and stronger motor, you can't really expect more, especially at this price. I also have two Dewalt 12" miter saws that aren't much better. The only thing you have to do is check the screws (as with any other machine), check the cut accuracy, and adjust if necessary; it's also a good idea to buy a good blade; like other manufacturers, you get a simple blade with the machine. I bought this machine because of its light weight, which makes it ideal for mobile use.
