Questions & Answers

So now I'm confused: 4 cfm to 20 cfm. Could someone please confirm the cfm @ 90 psi for me? Is it a 3/32 or a 3/16 orbit? You've given some contradictory answers. Please accept my gratitude. ?

The air consumption is dependent on the air pressure, rotating speed, the condition of the tool's air channel, and the working conditions, such as the grit of the sanding paper, the surface roughness of the workpiece, the air humidity, and so on. So even at 90 PSI, the real air consumption is still up to the real work situation in the field. br>br>The eccentric rotation of the ramdon sander will be used. Eccentricity to one side (also known as eccentricity radius) is 3/32 inch for this model. It is 3/16 inch in diameter for full round max eccentricity (also known as max eccentricity diameter).

Is it possible to change the speed of the machine?

Yes, you can control the speed.

What is the difference between a 3/32 and a 3/16 orbit? So, what exactly is an orbit?

3/32" is the diameter of the orbit.

Is the 4cfm rating for air consumption correct? It appears to be significantly less expensive than the others I've been considering. ?

When the sander is loaded, the air consumption increases dramatically. It will vary depending on the air pressure used, the rotational speed, and the workpiece, but a good starting point is 10-. 22 cfm

Sander is excellent
5/5

There is a LOT of compressed air used in this project. Electric sanders are much less aggressive than air sanders. You'll be finished in minutes if you use a 120 grit disc. Please take note of the following. Compressed air is used extensively by air sanders. Don't waste your money on a pancake compressor. My compressor, which has a capacity of 25 gallons, is always running. As the psi drops, the sander's power decreases. I intend to purchase a 60 gallon, 220 volt, 2 hp unit in the near future. In addition, as a professional cabinet and furniture maker, I only use air sanders when heavy sanding is required. The disc spins at such a high speed that it can eat through thin hardwood veneer plywood in seconds. When sanding, painting, or varnishing with 220/320 grit paper, I use an electric random orbit or palm sander. Just wanted to let you know.

It's simple and light
5/5

For the price, it's a good tool; I've only used it for about an hour and have had no issues or problems. The hook-and-loop feature is the cat's pajamas, making the tool easy on the wrist. For boat work and detail sanding, I prefer this 5" pneumatic sander to my electric vibrator.

A 3/16 orbit is not one of them
3/5

The 3/32 orbit was clearly marked on the package. Perhaps this isn't what others look for in a ROS or when shopping, but it was exactly what I needed. I'm looking for a 5" hook and loop sander with an orbital diameter of 3/16" or larger. That's how it was described. I returned the product because I had not used it. It's most likely a good sander.

Thanks! It's time to start sanding now that it's working perfectly.
WAIT! There are no exhaust filter parts included with this tool! If you don't want to spit oil all over your product, make sure to order these.

It's great, but I wish it had a vacuum system

I'd have liked to know if there was an updated version available for the same price, but I suppose this is Joe and Wuhan's time.

Harder composites are difficult to cut with this tool
4/5

A good DA for the money simply lacks the extra cutting power required to cut fiberglass. It's ideal for body fillers made of polyester or vinyl.
