Thumbs up. This one doesn't have quite the runaway top speed that some of my cheapos have. But, it still comes in handy from time to time.
The best intermediate sander I've ever used. Compared to the $250 snap-on, this is significantly better. You don't want too fine a texture and too harsh a feel.
It only took a few months for the handle to break off. Flimsy and cheap things do not match the quality of their price!.
Dynabrade has been my tool of choice for 8 years and I was looking for something different. Hutchins is heavy and noisy, so I had to stuff a corner of the scuff pad into it to get it to quiet.
Before acquiring this sander, i used a 3500 which allowed me to do bodywork quite well, but it was a little heavy and it only operated at 3/32 orbit, so the bodywork needed a sander that could do deeper cuts. In my opinion, the 600 model is much lighter than the 3500 (i think it weighs less than 2 pounds) and is undoubtedly more aggressive. It takes Bondo down in no time at all. After using the 3500 for so long, I wasn't used to the new sander at first because it takes a little getting used to. I am guessing that 10,000rpms is a lot faster than the actual speed of spinning. When my problem arose, I did not know what to do. The air valve was adjusted and it worked fine, however it seemed to get faster when I used it more often. As it turned out, the valve was all the way on high after a couple minutes of using the sander since it occurs to itself as a result of vibration. The bottom line is that it is a great sander apart from the "issue" with the air valve, but it does not feel like a Hutchins. There is no question that I would recommend this to any body man or painter. For painters, take a look at model 500 (3/32 offset).
There is a smooth operation, but the plastic design is not to my taste, and the air regulator is tricky to use.
The sander was reviewed highly on some auto body forum and I decided to buy it. It had no power as soon as it was received by me. In my part-time job, I use a variety of sanders to sand all kinds of materials, including A high-quality plywood Several types of urethane, aluminum, and steel are available. The purpose of my letter is not to inform you about my home. My old Dynabrade worked fine, so I needed this to do the same. It was returned to the manufacturer by me after I sent it back- Unfortunately, there is not enough electricity. What a bunch of junk! Thank goodness the pad broke off and I was able to purchase It is amazing what a difference there is. Dynabrade from the start is the best choice!.
