Using this da sander with 80 grit, I remove paint from the metal to the bare metal, then prime with a urethane sealer and sand with 400 grit and 600 grit before painting. My final step is to clear coat, then use the same da sander with a soft backing pad and 1500-grit disc, then sand with wet sandpaper, then use 3M trizac pads, then finish with teal colored perfect-it pads. I love how it turned out!
Yes, I agree with those statements Backer pad is 5 5/8 " diameter (for a stick of 6" A disc is on disc). There is a thin 7/8" (22mm) wrench included with the sander so that the pad can be removed. Approximately 5/16" x 24 threads are used for the center bolt.
It's a great tool, yes. It's a quick and easy way to do it
It shouldn't matter how big the tank is. The larger the tank, the less likely the compressor is to have to run. I have air lines that are regulated between 85 and 90 Pressure of 90 pounds per square inch.

Suitable for trying out simple or fairly complex jobs, this 6" sander is good. It has an adjustable flow rate for speed and is easy to use. It is recommended that you scuff the adhesive pad base with light sandpaper and a good cleaning product like brakeclean or alcohol in order to get the "slippery" surface necessary to ensure proper sandpaper disc adhesion. With the palm type air valve, it is easy to use and has good control. With my 60-gallon IR compressor, when I use the sander, there is no air flow or volume limitation.
I think you've found a really useful little helper here. That will be nice because I will be able to wet sand instead of air dust. I use the Porter Cable 5 with it and have no problems. This compressor operates at a speed of 7 cu ft/min @ 90 psi.
* No one knows how long they will last however, if you take care of your tools, they will last for a much longer period of time.
I AM ADVERTISING. This is yet another rip-off. The extra hook and loop pad was to be included. was the only reason I purchased this item at such an outrageous price. Apparently, it did not come with my order. There is now a claim that it was not Those are the only two items that are visible right now the new ad and the old There really is no way for me to prove it, but it's too bad for me, I guess I lose. I like the way you guys scammed me.
I am looking forward to writing a negative review for them. I bought one of these sanders a year ago, and I am using it for tables, fireplace mantels, and doors all the time. The quality seems to be excellent. It sounds like a simple of thing, but if you're going to use it regularly, you will need a 60 gallon compressor.
That's why it's so loud when they use the black sander.
As long as you take care of the soil, the sand will last. This has been in my possession for almost a year now, and it works just as well as ever. It is used on a daily basis in shops. A week might be 6 to 20 hours long.
The small amount of rust I removed from the truck top was thanks to mine. When the rust was removed with 40 grit, it remained. There might be a grinder I need.
I've been using it for a while now, and it seems to be working fine. How to remove the PSA pad and replace it with hook and loop is not explained clearly in the manual. It does not have a phone number for technical assistance either, and I am extremely frustrated that I cannot use this, and I wasted my money on an extra pad I did not need.
The sandpaper is what I use to sand my body panels. This is almost my everyday tool at a high-end collision shop, where I am 47 years old. I have used it for a few months and it still works well. It comes in 4 different grits of dry sand paper 600 800 1500 and wet 3000 grits. I use it to sand body panels with all different grits of dry sand paper. A smooth operation and comfort to use it makes it a great choice. I paid every penny for it and it is well worth.
