This is an affordable sanding belt that does a pretty good job. The belt's construction at the seam is not as smooth as it should be, so they don't last forever. Rather than breaking at its seam as soon as it should, this belt cracks near the seam. It can still be sanded when it breaks because there's plenty of grit left. Other belts that I have ordered from this company of different grits are the same as this one. I have noticed that sanding very lightly increases the longevity of the project, but, it seems like it takes forever to complete it. I'm not a savage at sanding, don't get me wrong. It's a good thing I know what I do. There is one good thing about them I know they are cheap and come in a package of five.

Using these on an air belt sander, I prepare surfaces. Usually I use these for touching up areas that are hard to access when I make My belts work well, but they do not last long. I admit that I have not used expensive belts to compare their duration. This might be normal lifespan for this style of belt, or maybe it's just how I use them, but I would appreciate if they lasted longer. All in all, they've been good to me.
We used these with our new sander and they worked well. Other sanders weren't able to reach awkward corners, but they sanded beneath layers of old paint.
I had no idea they would work A belt removed three large spot welds with none of them following any kind of a pattern. This is one of my technicians' favorite products for brake calipers because they make cleaning the brake pads in the brackets.
It is good to use for grinding welds in tight places which makes it wear out fast, but grinding welds is pretty tough on abrasives in general. If they were mounted on softer material like wood or plastic they would last much longer.
