It's not worth the trouble
3/5

I was very excited to get my hands on this and try it out, but after only one use, my bit became stuck in the hex bit slot. Absolutely impossible to remove, this tool is now useless to me, as I had intended to use it with multiple different bits. I'm usually a big Dewalt fan, but this is just bad quality control. This is especially true at this price. I'm attempting to contact them; I'll update my review once I hear from them.

Nice, I like this model a lot better, and I like how you drew a hole in the back to poke out a bit

For 21 dollars, it came with a recipe from Lowes, so it was probably worth the trip to Lowes.

It works perfectly

Shorter bits get tangled up in the system. I literally tried to put a stubby regular screwdriver bit into it, and it swallowed it up and magnetically stuck it in place: Dbr>br>I now know that it will only accept the much longer ones, or that I will need to use an extension adapter to use shorter ones. It's surprising to see this, given that the most common bits are the shorter ones, and the unit itself must be small enough to fit into the spaces where a right angle driver adapter is needed in the first place: /br>br>I eventually got it out with a pair of tiny needle nose pliers I had on hand, but I can imagine others getting stuck and not having access to a tool to remove it. br>br>Aside from that, it's fine. I'm not sure that increasing its size will do anything other than make it less likely that you'll be able to find a place to put it. br>br>I see that Milwaukee has some options that allow regular bits, as well as stand-alone full-time right angle drivers and twist-lock chucks. Overall, now that I've had this experience, I think I'll go with one of those. br>A driver attachment that is comparable to this costs about the same, and it is also available. Would accept stubby bits in the first place, as torque drivers do:.

They appear to be solid, and if they are, they should work
4/5

However, it is a previously owned item. It's built to last. It works if you apply enough and consistent force to the opposite side of where the bit is seated (with your thumb). Otherwise, the tool is prone to easily escaping the screw. This is especially true when working with extremely hard woods. As a result, it's critical to factor in the space required for applying the tool when calculating the required clearness. The new version has a small hole where your thumb applies steady force while using the tool, allowing you to insert a paper pin and remove a short bit. This is convenient because the short bit can be removed without the use of a needle nose plier. br>My complaint is that I received a package that had been carefully cut open so that the tool could be removed and returned to Amazon; clearly, someone had a need to use it for a short time and intended to return it to Amazon afterward from the beginning of his/her purchase. Amazon either did not thoroughly inspect it to determine that it was a used item or believes it is still in good enough condition to resell it to me as new. There are a few scratches on it. However, I decided to keep the tool after testing it. I'd like to believe he or she really needed the tool to finish something important, and that they made good use of it, but that they couldn't afford it. This is the kind of optimistic thinking I try to cultivate in my mind.

I used this product to drill a hole in plexiglass and it worked fine. br>The ability to adjust the length is very convenient. br>br>There are no issues with the bit becoming stuck in the chuck of this adapter.

Without it, nothing is possible

When you're working in a tight space and need a fastener or screw but don't have enough room to use a straight driver, there are a few options. This tool breaks the rules in order to make the seemingly impossible possible.

DWARA120 Right Angle Attachment by DEWALT
5/5

With my 1/4" impact driver, the Dewalt RA attachment is frequently used. It's great for making holes in wood studs and cabinets in tight spaces with spade bits. It's also useful for driving screws in tight spaces where a stubby screwdriver is rendered useless due to a lack of torque. I occasionally need to install Smart boxes or slider boxes in tight spaces where my DCF887 impact driver with a 3-inch impact socket won't fit. This adapter is ideal for those situations where you need to use a Phillips bit of 1 inch. I've had the older Dewalt RA attachment for several years and it still works fine, but this new adapter is even more compact and is now my go-to tool. a driver's accessory for impact.

This is an excellent resource
5/5

I was using pocket holes to construct a small bench. I was using a socket wrench to hold my bit and tighten the screws because some of the holes were impossible to reach with my Kreg bit, but this was VERY inconvenient. Because it was available for same-day delivery, I chose it. In my area, shipping is available the next day. I was able to complete other tasks and return to my bench in just a few hours, which was fantastic! The tool took some getting used to because you aren't used to driving bits from that angle, but it made getting into those hard-to-reach places a lot easier. If you put a small piece of metal into it, be aware that the magnet is quite strong, making it difficult to get it out; however, for longer bits, it is ideal!.
