It is the versatility of the exchangeable battery packs that has made me a DeWalt customer for many years. There are some tools in my possession that have lasted longer than my three marriages put together. The rotary hammer is the main reason I bought this set. To remove the plaster from the wall, I needed to take it off with a scraper. Battery life varies between 30 minutes and 50 minutes when you hit it pretty hard There are 60 minutes left. Since I have several batteries, I was able to keep going without any pauses. This program does its job Simple to put the bits in. Concrete flooring is too light for this machine, so I wouldn't recommend it for those purposes. Perfect for masonry and tile drilling, but not for drilling in a solid surface.
The combo is a great find for me. I'm a commercial builder, and this thing is cool as hell. There is no need for cords and it is capable of handling most tasks I have asked it to. There are two chargers included, and they will charge the battery in less than an hour, which is plenty quick to never be without since there are two. For the price you pay for this set, a regular hammer drill and impact set are practically worthless. The purchase of this tool is one of my best investment decisions in a long time.
My purpose in buying this was to replace some basement windows and to drill a vent hole of 4" diameter for my dryer. I found that the rotary hammer did pretty well with the core bit, as it cut through 11 inches of exterior brick and block wall. Although this was a heavy application for this drill, it impressed me with how well it performed. I was very happy with the drilling rates (3/16 and 5/32) for tapcons. With the impact driver, you can choose between three speeds, which is helpful in a variety of situations. Normally, 5Ah batteries are able to run for about 40 minutes before requiring a charge. It is highly recommended that you use.
The products I use every day are great. This is the ideal rotary hammer for smaller jobs where running a cord is not an option.

I bought one before this one and the batteries were stamped 2018 so I returned it and ordered another one and the batteries are stamped 2018 so I'm returning this one due to the warranty. The batteries normally have 3 years warranty so by having them stamped one year earlier means I lose a year of warranty.
