solid-rock posts! We have a large rock outcropping on which we live. Until we got this hammer drill, we could only dream of having a fence. There are currently two of us. As a result, we now have 5 acres of fenced land and a dog who is overjoyed! We bought a 1 1/2 inch bit and were able to drill perfect T-holes with it. posts embedded in solid rock A seemingly impossible task was made possible thanks to the Bosch drill! It's a workhorse in every sense of the word. Allow the drill's weight to carry the burden. We've used it to break up the tops of rocks in our driveway (using a large chisel bit) as well as a few other large jobs. I was very pleased with the drill's performance.
This hammer drill had to be worth every penny. . . at the last minute, our company was asked to cut holes in the floor for 12 doors with dorma recessed closers (the salesperson who hired us was hesitant to mention that the walls and doors we were installing had these recessed closers). Normally, the general contractor hires a concrete cutting company to do this, but there isn't much time to plan and execute. After plunge cutting the concrete with a 7-inch diamond wet saw blade in a Skil saw, cleaning the holes out with the right chisel tips and bushing tools was a breeze with the hammer drill in chip/chisel mode.
I'm constructing a home on solid rock footings. For anchoring 5/8 threaded rods, a large number of holes 11/16" in diameter are required. After using my Bosch SDS Plus Bulldog (30-pound) for a while, I've come to the conclusion that it's I gave up and bought this guy - it took me 40 minutes per hole. RH850VC! What a stark contrast! Without applying much pressure, I was able to drill 8" into the rock in less than a minute! I'm blown away. This drill is absolutely terrifying!.
The performance of this hammer drill was outstanding. It had plenty of power and sped up the installation of the anchors as well as the removal of the tile flooring.
what the old Bosch Big-Boss used to do It was Daddy, and it had a vibration-reduction system. gasp. THIS THING ACTUALLY WORKS! It's also effective. This was an excellent purchase that I have no regrets about making.
Great.
I replaced my 15-year-old unit with a new one.
