Dislikes - It did not come with all the accessories it is supposed to. There is a weak attachment of the handle, which could be improved by extending the length of the base handle. I found the build to be very well made. This compressor is supposed to replace my 35 year old Craftsman compressor that I was not sure if its motor needed to be replaced. Compared to my old craftsman, the new DeWalt is quieter. In my case, I bought it for work around the house and didn't want an expensive oil-filled compressor. If I had been in a commercial business I would have purchased the much cheaper oilless compressor.
An air compressor like this is a nice machine. Having bought cheap compressors over the year that didn't last nearly as long as I would have liked, I decided to spend the extra cash on a belt and pulley type from a highly respected manufacturer. There was no disappointment for me. As opposed to past machines, this one is much quieter and builds pressure much faster. We ran into a shipping and delivery snafu, but Amazon went above and beyond the call of duty to fix it.
As far as I can tell, this air compressor is very well suited for its size and doesn't make much noise when it runs. I used it with several air tools and it kept up just fine. Although suckers are heavy, they are extremely strong. An assistant will be needed if you have to get the item in and out of a truck.
Is able to run impact tools without issue.
The unit is quite nice. A classic car restoration and painting project is what prompted me to purchase mine. I always have it with me, no matter which air tools I use. I won't be able to give it a higher rating at all since the oil level sight glass is opaque.
You can rely on pro I use it with my air tools without any issues, but it is on the loud side.
In terms of quality, the product is excellent. It was disappointing to see the delivery. In spite of the large arrows on the box it comes in that indicate "This Side Up," it was delivered upside down. Oil began to leak and seep, which led to a significant amount of oil staining Even though I was able to clean the compressor and refill the oil, I am obviously not satisfied.
A high level of quality.
