Replaced an older 30 gallon unit that hadn't been oil-lubricated. On the pallet, everything was well packaged and shipped in a timely manner. This unit has not been damaged in any way. I was able to walk the unit off my pallet with help from one other guy and then they brought it into my garage for me. It weighed 400 pounds, which wasn't too bad considering that it was brought to my garage. The anti-vibration pads that I used under the 3 feet have been very helpful. Once the 220 is hooked up, fill the unit with the ingersoll Rand lubricant (so the pump has the 2 year warranty). Then shut the unit down. As soon as we started, everything worked perfectly, the belts were in line, and the air pressure reached 150 psi very quickly. It came with a shut off valve attached to the output side already, which was great. However, it is a 1/2 thread size, which means you will need a 1/2" reducer to attach most fittings As a whole, I use this unit to sandblast parts before plating them with cerakote. To blast the upper and lower sections of an AR15, it took an average of ten minutes with the old unit, as my compressor would take a while to catch up. My blasting time and volume decreased by half and I was able to blast the same product in 1/3 the time. I was glad to see that the fit and finish were excellent. I like it quiet and solid. There is a lot of love for this air compressor in the shop.
