There was no need for a nut on my Rigid.

Is this filter compatible with a Rubbermaid WD 16G Shop Vacuum?

I can't say for certain. Mine was placed on a ridged surface.

My Rigid Shop Vac is compatible with it

This is what I purchased and installed in my large Rigid Shopvac. Because it didn't quite fit, I cut the inner rubber circle at the bottom of the filter with a knife. You can cut it out by following a line circle, and it will fit perfectly.

It appears to work when everything is just right. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the fact that this is the first time we've used this filter and we have no idea how well it will work. If it holds up well after several uses, I'll give it a five-star rating. Overall, I'd suggest this. br>br>.

Great price, but stores are out of stock! Fits on my Rigid wet/dry shop vac, which has a 15 gallon capacity

br>It didn't come with a locking nut (otherwise 5-star rating). I used the one that came with the shop vac because it was easier to install. br>br>The rubber hole through which the plastic shaft/bolt passes is quite small. If you don't use the lock nut, you might be able to get away with it.

That filter needs to be replaced

The filter on our shop vacuum had never been changed. We are very good at vacuuming indoors, so I'm not sure why this is. The shop vac's suction was greatly improved as a result of this. Replace that filter as soon as possible!.

This filter was slightly more restrictive than the original manufacturer's filter. It fits fine; it just required a little more force to seat. It works well and is a good value for money filter.
