Because the older version of this device had a metal hub, some people "got their pants in a bunch. " The improved plastic hub is now available in the new version, which is now shipping. I bought these to clean and reseason two cast iron pans. They worked quickly to remove the rust and carbon buildup, bringing me back to bare, gleaming metal. I believe this pad has reached the end of its useful life. So, I'm not sure if they'd be cost-effective if you needed to handle a large project, but they took care of everything I needed, so I'm a satisfied customer.
I bought this to clean up excess epoxy from a front porch concrete slab repair. This attachment for my electric angle grinder quickly removed the unsightly excess epoxy that I feared would become a permanent fixture on my front porch. But in a matter of minutes, this tiny disc saved my porch by removing all of the excess epoxy.
This is incredible. My grinder's threaded hub mates perfectly with it, making changeout a breeze. The cost may appear to be a deterrent, but they work flawlessly and save a ton of time without clogging up like sand paper. I bought these to keep on hand because I'm addicted to using them to remove rust and paint.
There will be no gimmicks or ruses! Advertised incorrectly! When making an online purchase, this happens far too frequently. The hub appeared to be metal in the photo, so I bot it. It's not the case! It's made of a lower-grade material. There is a significant difference! Those who engage in such behavior should be barred from selling on Amazon. Amazom is complicit in the rest of the situation.
I bought this item because the picture looked exactly like the grinder disk I was using at the time, i. e. The hub was made of metal. When the disk wore out, I went to a local store and bought a new one. Because the previous one had a plastic hub that didn't fit well, I ordered this one from Amazon because the picture showed a metal hub. I was given yet another ill-conceived idea. plastic hub that fits It was a complete waste of time and money on my part. Would it have been too difficult to change the image?.
These are what I use to keep my props and shafts clean. They do an excellent job without causing any damage to the foundation materials. They could have lasted a little longer, though. They come highly recommended from me.
It wears out quickly, but it meets my needs perfectly.
