This would not be the case with the 6". You won't find them unless you take them The hole saw is cheaper than this brand, but I've owned it for a couple years now and use it quite a bit and I've never needed to replace one. A chuck had to be replaced as the only other component I needed to change. once locked up on me, but that was a few days ago.
The materials (wood, nails, screws, sheet metal) are made out of wood and some metals.
In the middle, there is a 1/4" quick connect guide bit, but the shank around it is not 1/4".

Fast-acting Freud quick releases make a difference in everyday life. I purchased this kit because, after fifteen years of using inferior hole saws for my rough in plumbing, it really met my needs and wants. A quick, sharp, and efficient service. In the end, I ended up breaking one of the pilot bits into three pieces when the drill jumped, something which I thought could have been easily prevented. I completed my work and ordered another pilot bit, so fortunately the kit came with two of them.
I wish I had gotten it a long time I have found the bits themselves to be very sharp and I see them lasting a long time. They cut sheets of metal and wood without much difficulty. I can keep all of them together in the case that they come in, and the case is convenient and portable. They are just so easy to use and make switching between bits so simple. This book is highly recommended. This video game is made by Freud, a company renowned for its excellence.

In reality all of them are going to burn up over time. These are the best and longest-lasting ones out there, and I use them exclusively.
Easy to replace no issues at all and very durable. I could not imagine going wrong with diablo products.
