This component isn't magnetic, so don't expect it to work.
It was difficult to find a bit with both slotted and phillips on the same shaft that was also locked in to my DeWalt power screwdriver on both ends. This is a great option.
Yes, the electrical cover screws will fit into the slotted side.
It most certainly does. all kinds of people

12 is the maximum size allowed. 10- The 12-inch diameter is too large for the standard flat head on a wall plate, but the 6-inch diameter is perfect. The number eight is ideal; it has locks on both ends and functions flawlessly. I'm not sure how long commercial work will last. As a homeowner, it should last quite a while.
Many (many!) (many, many, many, many, many, many, The 'locking slot' is incorrectly located on the ) tips with a bit on each end. My B is a It will be able to slip out because D PSD will not engage it. I used to have to carry two different tips before these. I'm not sure what the previous tips for locking PSD heads were designed for, but I've had three of them. There were a total of D PSDs, and none of them worked. The locking slot was too far away from the tip of the iceberg. br>br>These were the ONLT tips that were properly locked into the head on BOTH ends. Simply turn it over, and the PSD locks the other side of the tip in the same way it did the first. br>br>Otherwise, you'll run into Murphy's 295th corollary-- "If the tip falls out, it'll never be in the garage; it'll be off a 2-story building. " a weedy hillside from a third-story roof".
They sent me one of those thin torsion ones, but it won't fit into an impact driver. The torsion zones are supposed to absorb maximum torque, but when you drop your tool, they simply bend out of shape.
This is a brilliant idea. Why is the middle of your body so skinny? And forget about it if you're using a Dewalt 12v impact gun. The flat side will not be accepted by the bit ejector spring in the hex chuck because it is too long and will not reach the locking detent. Make it magnetic, less bendable, and shorter on the flat blade, and it will be easier to locate in stock. br>br>I'll try grinding the tip a little shorter, but the bit will almost certainly be ruined.
I work on a variety of exterior projects, and the most commonly used exterior grade deck screws have either a star or Phillips head. I don't have to look for or carry a second bit now that I have the Irwin double ended bit. I always have the bit I need in my tool; all I have to do is pull it out and reverse the ends. This action may appear insignificant at first, but repeating it several times throughout the day adds up to a lot of time, effort, and frustration. Furthermore, these Irwin bits appear to last an eternity! I don't think I've ever worn out one end or the other. Everyone should read these bits, in my opinion. They're also fantastic as a gift.
One that isn't the same as the one shown. A magnet will not be able to be held in the middle of it. I now have to pay for it to be returned.
I was looking for a reversible bit that would work with my Bosch and Kobalt screwdrivers in particular. Because the head of the bit I purchased at the hardware store was too long, it wouldn't lock in place. This one fit perfectly and is very convenient to keep as the default bit in my screwdriver so that I can use both flat and phillips heads.
These are great, but the center portion of the shaft is too small for my Rigid impact or drill holder to grip.
