Questions & Answers
Here's how I finally figured it out after searching the internet for an answer: br>Hold the bit's back with pliers and the magnetic sleeve with another pair of pliers. Use a twisting motion to pull them apart. After that, they should come apart fairly easily without the use of pliers.br>After you pull them apart initially, they should separate fairly easily by hand without the use of pliers.
Remove the tip of the drill/impact bit and leave it in the drill/impact. It's a little tight at first, and it'll take some time to get used to.
This model comes with the sleeve pictured as well as a FlexTorq 2 power bit.
Users can use the DWA2SLVIR to secure 2" bits in place and reduce breakage.

br>NOT ONE OF THE PART NUMBERS WAS CHANGED! br>This means that some stores will send you 2" bit holders and bits, while others will send you 2 1/4" bit holders and bits. This is true for Phillips, T25, and other similar brands. They're all there. br>In the same way that the tool on this page does, the product descriptions show the old 2" part number and text. So, if you bought the old 2" size holder and thought you were ordering 2" bits, you will most likely receive 2 1/4" bits, which will not work! br>Extremely perplexing for all parties involved - In April 2020, I spoke with one DeWalt phone representative and two phone supervisors, and neither of them were aware of this. They could only figure it out by looking at the quantities of bits on hand and then searching the new product catalog, which revealed that no 2" bits, sleeves, or depth stops were available. br>I've squandered a lot of time ordering 2" holders only to receive 2 1/4" instead - Some exist, but only for a limited time. DeWalt's decision to display one product number for two different sizes is ridiculous!.
I like Dewalt products and have no complaints about the quality of this one. br>br>However, the description claims it will work with Dewalt 2 inch or larger bits. Any bits smaller than 2 1/4 inch won't work with the product that was sent. That may not appear to be much, but I have a 15-pack of 2-inch Dewalt bits that I purchased a year ago. None of them will be able to do it. br>br>Aside from that, this is a fantastic product, and if you have any Dewalt flextorq bits that are longer than 2 1/4 inch, these will still work perfectly with them.
The magnet is very effective, but it only fits certain bits. br>If you're looking for a magnetic sleeve to fit your standard impact bits, you might be disappointed. The bit that comes with the package is very thin and comes with the package. The majority of bits sold in big box stores are much thicker, and this sleeve will not fit them.
Although the description states that it fits a 2" bit, it actually fits a 2 1/4" bit. I didn't realize until after the return period had passed that this was the case, so I'm unable to return it (my fault). However, the seller or Amazon should be blamed for a poor description!.
This was purchased to assist me in driving screws over my head. It works, but only with the bits from my Dewalt driver. Milwaukee bits work in theory, but not in practice. I suppose it would be too much for the bit manufacturers to standardize on sizes, but since they aren't all that expensive, I suppose it doesn't really matter. Unless you use this screw holder, in which case you'll need a package of Dewalt 2 1/4" bits.
I've got an older one that I can't seem to get the bit out of. I bought a new one because I liked the old one so much and this one didn't come with a bit already installed. The ball bearings that kept the bit in place were clearly visible. So I put the old one in a vice and used a screwdriver and a hammer to pry it away from the old/broken bit. Now I need to find a bit that will work with both the old and new ones. I didn't buy a new bit at the same time because I was just curious about how it worked. It was also a good value. I have a Makita screw holder bit as well, but I prefer the Dewalt because it is smaller.
These work well and securely hold a screw; they were designed by Dewalt for Dewalt impact ready drivers, but they could be used on other drivers of a similar design. The most serious issue is that the driver's head does not protrude sufficiently. When you use a tough piece of material to drive a screw in, it will only go so far before stripping out the head because the head will not seat deeply enough. But it does the job for the most part, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
This is a complete rip-off, in my opinion. off because you have to buy the DeWalt bit because standard regular bits won't fit so you have to buy the DeWalt bit for this particular magnet adapter the Makita is a hundred percent better and the bit cost as much as or more than the adapterbr>br>I gave this a bad review and I'm changing my mind because I figured out how to use it I thought you could only use it with the Phillips bit and I don't use Phillips anymore and it doesn't I did find a square bit, but it was difficult to come by and extremely expensive; however, I now give it a five-star rating.
