The quality of what you get depends on the price you pay
3/5

After receiving the blades I installed them, and within about seven boards I'd already got chips and streaks on the boards where the blades were installed. A person who contacted the seller said that they would send me a replacement. They did this on priority and that is the only reason I am not leaving a five-star review Review will start soon. The first time I opened the new blades, I understood there was something totally different about them. There was no grind in this metal, and it was several shades darker than the regular metal. Those are installed now, and I am ready to start The new blade of one of the two was chipped after about 5 boards and left streaks on the lumber as well.
The prognosis is It's low-cost and easy to get The metal is of high quality. It was a standard piece of kiln-dried, straight Douglas fir wood from a lumber supplier, quite soft as it.

You will need to install the Blade
5/5

Installation of the blades has been completed. There is no way to stop the blades from sliding too far into The first few times I installed them, I did not notice what happened I only realized it during a test. After reinstalling them, and tightening the bolts a bit before fitting the magnetic guides, the whole project went smoothly. Birch pieces tested so far have worked well. It will be interesting to see how they hold up in.

The cost of maintenance is lower
4/5

I have found these to be pretty effective. It is not uncommon for me to miss a metal embedded inside a piece of reclaimed wood that I use. As a result, I consider cost to be important. Several sets of them have lasted me so long, I just wore them out. They are just as good as the more expensive ones.

I had garbage in my car
3/5

The integrity of the material is compromised. It was hard for me to believe a $20 planer blade would be worth it, and not all of those reviews were negative. As soon as I started chipping away at the edges of the boards (mahogany), there were raised lines from where the edges were compromised. The effort involved in even installing it is not worth it. It would have been better to get the OEM Dewalt parts. I guess it's up to me to learn as I go.

Although they fit well, there are some issues
3/5

Several of these fit nicely, but one of them dulled up quickly and left ridges on The fact that I had to sharpen one knife after barely using it makes me unhappy.

I had to purchase some new planer blades and this product was excellent
5/5

The blades on old saws needed to be sharpened. I had 60 BF of white oak to finish for the project. It was quite amazing how smoothly the blades left the wood with these blades - they fit perfectly. My products have turned out to be far more smooth than if I had sanded them. Sharpening them already is an ongoing process, but I think that is due to the number of hardwood pieces that have been run.

This is a good product
5/5

A recent increase in price was made by Amazon. Those are indeed compatible with the Dewalt DW733 planer (and with other Dewalt models perhaps). It used to be about the same price (or even less) to have your old set of blades sharpened at a hardware store when they used to cost $29 on Amazon. In order to sharpen them properly yourself, you need some sort of special jig for your grinder, so for best results, we thought it would be easier to just replace them. Due to the new blades, the planer is much happier and can cut through redwood decking easily. Plane the wood about 1/32" per pass, and you'll be amazed at how smooth the finished product is!.

In the first two weeks of use, it was chipped
3/5

Because of their good reviews, I have bought them as a replacement for my Dewalt DW733 planer. The fit is great, and they have a good edge at first. They began to chip after just a few weeks of light use. As I mentioned before, I did not use this on hardwoods, and I managed them properly.
