I have no problems with them fitting my N1900B.
While I don't have the 1900, I think you will most likely be able to use it if you have the three and a quarter inch blades. The kit comes with the little double edge blades and the adapter plates required to let

It is impossible to get a proper fit either using the fixing plates that came with the Makita planer or the beefier ones included in the package due to the wide groove in the blade. It is possible to feel the sloppiness of the blade as you manually press it onto the plate. It is therefore impossible to ensure an even depth of cut across either the width of the blade or between the two blades while the blade is in motion during and after installation. In order to check this, I attempt to grind a piece of scrap wood against the back side of the sole plate in a consistent manner. Despite the lack of a micrometer, the gaps between blades appeared to be as big as I would normally make a cut. /(To clarify I followed the installation instructions carefully and used the gauge a number of times. )If the blades cannot be inserted more precisely Mazata clearly makes reliable blades it makes the best ones in the world- I did not have any problems with the alignment of the ones that came with the planer. However, other reviewers have reported better results which indicate Makita's quality control falls short.
There is a problem with the blades on my 1900B planer. They originally came with high speed steel blades that must be sharpened. With carbide disposable blades, it is possible to achieve a better finish, and this kit allows you to use the standard disposable blades that most hand electric planers use, which is great for me since I already use other planers with You can use these blade holders the same way you would set your HSS blades after sharpening. Just transfer the guide rail from the HSS blades and then use the depth setting block. The guide rails on these would have been nice if they had come with them so I could leave the other on the HSS blades, though most of what's left on the HSS blades probably won't be needed after converting. Although this conversion kit offers me more options than classic resharpenable blades, I still use them some of the time.
I had to give up my beloved Makita planer because of this system. The plan went well for 36 feet, then the disaster struck. I had a blade eject, breaking the bearing assembly from one of my favorite tools in the process. It has absolutely broken my heart. As far as I am concerned, this is a completely useless setup. As I was meticulous in setting up and tightening, I know I did not cause this.
Makita 1900-9) that came with them It is a planner. It is my understanding that the original part was made of light stamped metal, and was only held in place by two small areas. As a result, the blades became loose and damaged over time. that have an extended metal band and contact the blades over their entire length for a.
Even though this blade is somewhat difficult to install, it has proved to be.
A Makita product of excellent It was installed on a 1900B planer and included a 1900B conversion kit to use it with carbide blades. I still use my old planer, even though it's outdated. The original set has steel blades, but now I have carbide blades! I've ordered a second set and will keep one handy as a spare!.
During an interior remodel, I bought a planer and gave it a real workout by leveling the foyer and kitchen floors. Although my planer worked great, I was going through blades very quickly, but only on one of the four stock The blade holder in the previous set did not appear to hold the blades securely, so I ordered this set instead. The holders are made of one piece of ground steel, and they look very sturdy. As you know, I planed about six 2x4's and about eight 1x3 along 2x4s were planed on one side to paper thin, and the other end was planed to full height. They were cut to 7 feet in length. Over the course of the entire set, none of the blades broke. A few days before I began using these I went through four sets of blades per There is one disadvantage, however you have to move the small blade adjusters and two screws from the stamped set that came with the planer to this one. It costs between $3 and $7 for Makita to sell those parts. The price is not a problem if you want to buy them, because once you use them, you will never go back to stamped blade holders again. The stock holders were damaged by my hitting them against nails while planing down some of the kitchen yellow pine floor, but these should have come with the planer rather than the light stamped metal ones, which were installed from the factory by Makita.
