Exactly what I was looking for to go with my redwood clapboard installation. It is not necessary to worry about the nails corroding since they are stainless steel and will not bleed through the paint down the road.

Our house has just had the cedar siding on its dormers replaced 67 years after it was originally built. Most of it was barely hanging on to the framing. We were forced to replace our galvanized nails with stainless steel nails because the old galvanized nails had bit the dust.

They were almost flat and very difficult to use because the coils had been smashed.
