Selected User Reviews For CRAFTSMAN Drill /Driver Set, 53-Piece (CMAF1253)
To begin this review, I'd like to state that I've always admired Craftsman tools. Before writing this review, I spent some time playing with this bit set. I put together two beds for the kids (one queen and one triple bunk bed) and secured some loose boards on the back deck with screws over the last few days. These pieces did a fantastic job of standing up to the test of time. There was no stripping of the bits, and they did the job they were supposed to do. I'll summarize my thoughts in the following paragraphs: Advantages: br>br> It comes in a nice plastic case that is easy to open, holds the bits securely, and allows you to quickly find the size you need (for the ones with designated spots). A light coating of oil/grease was applied to all of the bits to prevent rust. The bits were also durable, and they performed admirably in every task I gave them. The magnetic bit holder fit perfectly in my Dewalt driver, held the bits securely, and allowed me to quickly switch between bits during a project. br>br>Cons: The assortment of bits in the small plastic box on the kit's upper right side saves space, but it makes it difficult to quickly locate the size bit you need. It also takes some getting used to opening it to get to them (don't take the entire thing out - it's not necessary). It's a little tricky to do, and it's possible to open the box from within. with a lot of work). Another disadvantage, which may or may not be an issue for some, is that Craftsman (which used to be made in the United States) now manufactures these in China. While I understand that it is less expensive to do so, it is disappointing to see this company follow in the footsteps of so many others. br>br>Overall, this is a good kit. For the listed flaws, I docked a star. This kit will be extremely useful to the majority of people.
To cut a long story short, this Craftman drill and driver set is an incredible bargain. This is the drill set for you if you want a high-quality drill to go with your Craftman drill. So far, using this set has been a breeze. Overall, I'd give it a 5 out of 5 rating.
There is never enough of anything. There is no such thing as having too many drills. a few items in your store br>The smaller ones have the most issues, so0o, I just keep a handy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy-dandy- a nice assortment of different drill TYPESbr> The ones that are made of concrete are the most difficult to locate. br> THESE WENT OVER EXTREMELY WELL. I'd BUY more, but I'm hoping I won't have to. A handyman in the neighborhood understands what I'm trying to say. So far, everything has gone exceptionally well!.
" I bought this set of Craftsman drill bits for my new Craftsman V20 drill/driver kit, and it's a great set. Drill bits come in a variety of sizes to suit any task. I snapped a couple of shots. The drill bits are simple to install in the drill and are strong and long-lasting. This product comes highly recommended by me.
This is a very nice case. Drill bits are organized by size. firmly rooted One star has been deducted. I haven't figured out how to open the small case that contains a variety of different sized bits. Another star has been taken away- My first drill bit broke in half after only a few seconds of use. I'm hoping for the best with the larger bits.
When I needed to hang curtains, it worked perfectly, and it came with everything I needed and more! For a long time, I don't think I'll need to purchase any replacements!.
I built a shelving unit out of these scraps. When I attempted to install the first screw, the bit immediately stripped. Not the screw head, but the bit itself; I had even drilled pilot holes to try to avoid this. br>My father has thousands of dollars worth of Craftsman tools from the 1970s and 1980s that are still in good working order after years of abuse.
