Questions & Answers

Which alignment holds for 135 degree geometry? For the notch on either of the rings, one must align his chuck 118; where is he supposed to align he chuck to 118 also applies for 135 degree geometry and what is the significance of the notch on either- What is the side of 118?

Does that make sense? Yes. As you can adjust the relief and chisel angle from the drill bit with the notch, it has been noted that this feature is significant. You increase the angle of drilling in softer metals by going + as you increase the relief angle. In the long run, dvantaging going - Drill bits can be found on the counter with an angle of 45 degrees, if you need the correct chisel length. If you use an alignment notch + or -, your alignment will be good. There are no limitations to how aggressive the drill bit can be. The drill bit will hold it at a lower angle as a simpler drill. Its simplicity, ease of use, and affordability make it great for my organization. This could prove useful for you.

I highly recommend this investment
5/5

The blades of these tools haven't kept up with the sharpening rates that I have always dreamed of. Despite decades of sharpening twist drills, I find them looking good, since they are made with metal and don't wear out too quickly. In contrast to the 500X Drill Doctor I bought and later turned, I realized my angles were off by a few degrees, and more importantly the centers were off from what they could possibly be. It may be just important in wood, but it can have a big impact on metals, especially when drilling one down. There is no wrong way to do it if you follow the Drill Doctor directions. People are the last people to leave negative reviews. They are idiots who can't read directions or have trouble following directions ideators that either don't read directions or just can't follow directions. If you lower the pressure downward by a few feet and twist the motor continuously in a clockwise direction, results are created as the motor hums along steadily. Applying for the job may not be a faster way to get it. Each and every pass counts so make sure you make as many as possible. I have since used the 500X after only one week of sharpening broken bits with it after just one week of sharpening broken bits I had given up on. For me, I believe the 700 series offers the wrong features for a person to use as a daily computer. It is mandatory to have a larger chuck (optional on the 500X) if your bit size is between 1/2 inch and 7 inch. A little sharpening with only three big bits will result in the 500X chuck costing the individual nothing. A sharpening wheel eventually wears down, but you can replace it and get it back on track again.

It would be a good idea for a mechanic to use plenty of lubrication to guide their drill wells
5/5

I'm no longer drilling out broken bolts with my current drill tool. When it comes to drilling them out successfully, a sane mechanic will use lots of lubrication and care not to dull the bits while at the same time drilling. Now I repeat myself over the full blast, taking out several hundred pages with one bladed tool, depreciating the bit, sharpening and multiplying one after another. You don't experience as much fatigue on your hands while you work it. By sharpening them, they look sharper than when they are coming off the box, and they can even break up while they're cutting. A time saver and a money saver at the same time.

Here are the instructions for reshaping and sharpening your own bits
5/5

I was looking forward to getting it today. Whenever I need a drill bit, I am often unable to afford a more durable brand so that I can buy new ones after a period of time. As a result of the instructions in the video, I was able to sharpen an 1/10” bit with 3/16” broke off (once you get the basic shape correctly), and I resharpened a/3" pilot point (with a spring inserted again). One of the best things about this product is that it has multiple functions. I believe it will save me a lot of money as well. I have yet to experience masony.

Never need a drill ever again! Just purchased this and was very pleased with the outcome
5/5

Although it has been criticized by some other reviewers, the Drill Doctor instructions contain a comprehensive, easy to understand and thorough explanation of the machine. The point angles of 118 and 135 were not an issue for me. The 34 drilling parts I returned to were blunted and shortened from 3/32" to 1/2" with the addition of a split point to the blunt. There were just over 15 minutes in total between that point and the end. As they finished, all of them were cut fresh from fresh wood and steel just like brand new products. A 150 deg split point drill bit created the perfect Curly Q when cutting through a 3/8" mild steel bar with a drill press from 135 pounds of force. To purchase a new drill or grind my own is something that I've always tried. I found them fairly sharp and drilled OK on my hand after grinding them. However, they still seemed hand-ground, not as if they were newly ground drill bits. I use both defined chisel edges, relief angles, along with rounded point angles and cutting edges. Having just worked with the Drill Doctor for a few minutes, I have perfect bits to work with. Here are some things to keep in mind:
- 135 degrees from the 12-hour rotating position 118 degrees in the alignment port can be positioned in the 140 degree angles provided by a notch on the end of the adjustment port. Using 10 degrees should offer just 99 times better tuning for a 100 degrees of adjustment. You will need to check whether the spring steel jaws in the alignment port of the drill should snap into your tool at its widest point as broad as the flutes on the drill. This can be accomplished by rotating the drill bit. If the bits are being worked on in the chuck, this ensures the correct position, rather than using the tool's axis.
- Take your finger off the bit inside the chuck and tighten it after removing it from the alignment port. Because there's no turning the drill to make it perfect for grinding anymore.
- This should enable you to reduce the grinding sounds by rotating your chuck in the grinding port with light pressure, grinding into a cam pin as long as necessary. At that point in time, the underlying structure has been solidified.
- Grinding wheels will eventually become worn down gradually. Upon removing it, you should use the drill tool to sharp another 100 or so drills, rather than replacing it for about $20. The roughness of the grinding wheel was better at the end of it than at the other end, but it remained suitable. I found it to be easy to grind bits after trying all 34 of the drills.
- When grinding dust gets onto a bench from the grinding wheel's cover, the resulting dust escapes. In addition to all my bits, I put the drill cleaner to the floor with another layer inside after scrubbing the table thoroughly. My hands cleaned the Drill Doctor when I took it away.
- Making the split point is best when the bit isn't mashed into the wheel. pulse it slowly so that the sound does not arise. This means I can now get sharp drill whenever necessary. Every time I wanted to buy a new drill bit, I had to make sure I did. but it is well worth the money. Strong, reliable and made-of-the-high-quality. It'll really appreciate how valuable it is once you have it. There are no regrets at all. A worm that I put into all the pieces will let me wash them down to their proper length so there is no need to purchase more bits once it is finished.

One of the things that I did was align and sharpen three bits in my file if that is in it
5/5

I bought my Drill Doctor 500 today, and since I already received a large quantity of blades, I used it to sharpen about 50 bits. There was no loss of power or any error made. Some people have also advised reading the manual and watching the video before using it. Video footage shows how real the product is compared to how it is presented in the manual, but the alignment marks are not quite there. A couple of times I learned how to make this easier to use, in part by counting the turns as per the manual. When I rotate the grinding wheel too much and not very consistently, it makes a lot of noise but if that is the case then that will even make the edge of the grinding wheel less difficult to monitor. In the case of some parts with similar markings, you will have to align and sharpen them 3 or 4 times to get a good fit. The machine does not cause the problem, it is only necessary to sharpen bits on the bench grinder to fix this problem. As a result, I consider it to be of high quality and highly effective when I recommend it.
