The bit works, but overall the tip wobbles, and they are not as sharp as they could be. Because the bits that came with them are METRIC, when installing the same inch type of bit, they will not fit into the socket smoothly, and they will wobble as well. It wobbles less when an inch type bit is used rather than the ones supplied with the device. These self-centering drill bits are best used only to mark the hole, and then use another ordinary bit to complete the drilling. Perhaps it makes sense to buy the metric ones so that you can replace them with good metric ones if they wear out. In the event that those bits/tutorials break/ no longer function, you will not be able to use these odd metric replacements (eg. Two millimeters).

It's amazing how much I love them

This tool simplifies hinge installation by a thousand times. It's easy to use, has a variety of sizes, and is of very high quality. All I had to do was pop one into my impact driver and we were good to go. Instead of trying to align my screws all the way in the middle to ensure the entire hinge does not move when I tighten them down, I can just aim for the middle of the hole. The number of hinges I have had to redo due to that over the years is beyond count. You won't believe how easy this is. We are redoing both bathroom vanities and hanging a couple of doors with these, and they are very useful for us. Particularly at this price point, I think this set is a good choice.

This is a great product, and I will definitely buy it It worked as it was designed to. Shipping is done in a protected package There should be no corrosion coating on the steel rod applied prior to use, otherwise, it will scrape and prevent the spring from repositioning the sleeve.

Alignment of screws is easy with this tool. While I understand that you don't really need it, it's so much faster, easier, and more convenient for you.
