The cutter doesn't have enough power to cut bigger sections.
In order to install a curb, I had to drill a 5" hole in my concrete driveway We are building a house with a shutoff on the main water line on the side. In order to use this core bit, I purchased a fairly lightweight Bosch SDS plus hammer drill, an SDS-equipped drill bit, and There is a 1/2" drill bit adapter and a 1/4" chuck adapter The thread adapter fits 5/8" threads. It was a little intimidating at first to do this, but I only needed to drill a hole so I gave it a shot and it worked like a charm. As I was drilling, I used a lot of water from a hose and took it very slowly in order to prevent overheating the drill. I also made a template out of wood with a 5" hole to start the bit in the concrete. My only issue was the automatic clutch kicks in every now and then, but it is not a problem with the bit, and it is not a problem even with the drill, because the clutch is designed to protect it. My inspection took twenty or thirty minutes, but I am sure if I had a proper coring drill, it would have taken a lot less time. I imagine I can drill many more holes with the bit itself since it looks like it's in very good condition. In order to cool the bit with water, I am sure it was extremely important. I would not want to use this bit without water unless I were drilling into something very thin and I feel that it is a great value for the price. If I were to buy a $200 5" carbide tipped core drill bit for my big SDS-II-R rig, I would give this a 4 star rating. The Max Drill.
To install an exhaust fan, I used a 5" hole saw (from Lowe's) to bore a hole through my brick house (10" concrete walls). I saw that even after an inch of wet cutting, all the teeth on the $40 Spyder saw were dulled. As I searched the big HI stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, &c. I checked Amazon after checking ACE) and not finding anything that gave me confidence. There are two reasons why I ordered this bit Fig. 1. I thought it would be great not to have to bore from both the outside and the inside, since it is 14" long. 1. 2. I was very confident after I read the reviews! My friend said I needed a hole saw, and boy am I glad I bought one! As smooth as butter, it cut through my wall! It's definitely worth it, especially for the features this bad boy has! Definitely buy this product.
Thanks for the concrete core drill bit. We are very pleased with it. It has been used on concrete fountains eight times. Approximately 8" of core was found in one core. The hand drill I used with the adapter was a regular Dewalt hand drill. With most of the holes, no water was used. The bit moves around in the hole at first, but we were able to keep it in place by tilting the bit and keeping the bit in the correct position by using our other hand (with a thick glove). You can seal the holes made by the drill by using rubber plugs in size 8 and 9. As far as wear and tear, the bit has surpassed my expectations in both not wearing out and not bending.
I have a cordless drill and two batteries, so it took some time. My battery needed to be charged nearly four times to complete this task. The second thing you need is an adapter for the The item had to be ordered As soon as it was installed, it worked fine. piece of wood cut into a 'V' at the top of the drill to steady the drill when we started, but then it was fine after that. We got through 4 inches of concrete in about 1 1/2 hours.
Does a nice job of cutting a My outdoor spigot was also damaged by this, which was a pity. I made a mistake. It is working as it should. It seems like it would be appropriate for a number of holes.
It's time for you to save The Wet-Dry System is the best That's the only way to get to the core. During the dry season If you consume your core, you will die The process takes 20 times as long!.
The bit in the photo was able to drill through a 9 inch wall with a 3/8 drive drill and water.
