Questions & Answers

There is no price listed in the product description. The blade is eight inches thick, so I assume that is how thick it is. If 1/16" = 0625", it is too thick for a 1/16" line, is that right?

My blade measures 1/64th as wide as 1/16", since I measured it with a digital caliper at 5/64". It scraped tile on each side, but the scrape is completely covered by new grout after using it on a 1/16th grout line. I was able to get it to work for my project.

How do I know if this fits Makita multitools?

With DEWALT Oscillating Grout Removal Blades, you can use all major brands of oscillating tools.

When it comes to blade thickness, how thick is it? Would you be able to grout lines of 1/16"?

Also, Dewalt makes a very fine grinding blade that is 3/16" in diameter that is 1/16" in width.

Approximately what is the width of the clutching on ?

The thickness of the pillar is exactly 5/64" as measured with an electronic caliper.

5/64" is slightly thicker than , so the blade is merely a tiny bit thicker
4/5

A blade of 5/64" is slightly thicker than a 1/16", so it is When it is held just right, it can also slightly chip tiles along their edge if not held just right. It instinctively wants to follow the grout line, but if you are not careful, it can veer off and cut into the tile. When it comes to shower corners (inside, one inch), it will only stick to a single inch. My oscillating tool hits the opposite wall after it is about five inches from a corner. There are still a lot of things that need to be done with It is so much easier to use this method than hand scraping after a short learning curve. A star was deducted because I would prefer a blade with a 1/16" width for my 1/16" grout lines.

This tool is extremely useful
5/5

It is not necessary for me to comment on the handiness since this feature consistently arises in so many reviews. The following are other thoughts I have in response to comments I have received about the tool A lever can be changed and the light can be switched The weight of my body is 120 pounds I would like to buy 64 pounds It is no problem for me to use the tool, I am a 26-year-old woman with probably average grip strength—and no other problems have arisen from it. It is possible to change the lever (I have noticed other comments about It is true that I have to be focused when using My hands often feel better after using the edge of a counter top if they are really tired. The light is It has been called useless by others The statement does not agree with me. Although it is limited to directly in front of the tool, it lights up a small area around it. It doesn't help when you are using the sides of the grout removal tool if you would like to use the full surface area of the grout removal tool (front and sides). Having the light bounce around is a bit annoying when it doesn't help, but all in all, I'd prefer to have the light on.

For a Dremel MM50, it's not so universal
3/5

A DeWalt tool is one of my favorites. This blade is a "Universal" replacement blade for a Dremel blade that I was wearing out and was designed to fit my Dremel MM50. I will be very satisfied with their customer service and trust them to do what they say when they say it. Dremel has been listed as a brand that the product is universal for on the packaging "Universal". You cannot claim this to be true if your Dremel is a multi-purpose tool A maximum of MM50 will be allowed. There is probably a mention of this somewhere The package does not state that! tool that claims to be universal and suitable for all Dremel tools, a little underwhelming. Due especially to the fact that Dremel itself makes a universal model (see below, top right corner is the Dremel and bottom right corner is the DeWalt in its packaging). Here you can see how the Dremel universal has two sizes of engagement holes, but the DeWalt only has one (and it's the larger size). This is how it works As soon as it is taken off the tool, it simply falls off. What's the reason for 3 stars then? There was still one blade missing, and I am getting the feeling (you know the feeling) that my wife is not going to be very pleased to be waiting another couple of days to receive this re-blade Work to be done on the grouting To solve this problem, I cut a washer in half that would be big enough to fit between the Dremel tool and the DeWalt blade, and wedged the two halves between the DeWalt blade and the pin of the tool and tightened it down. In real life, it doesn't work too bad when it's on the tool. The configuration to which you've seen I did, in fact, use quite a bit, but it wasn't completely.

Grout line cleaning blade that is perfect for any home
5/5

Screwdrivers and Dremel tools failed to get the job done. I spent a lot of money on this product. The methods I used before took hours and hours to clean grout lines, but now I can do so in minutes! The first time I saw one I couldn't figure out why it was shaped the way it was. I used it then and it became obvious to me. While the other edge is ideal for cleaning joints, the half moon allows me to clean each grout line regardless of location.

Grout can be removed easily with this product
5/5

It was time to rework my shower this was a time consuming, but worthwhile project. I've tried other grout removal tools, but I found this one to be the best. The blade pierces old grout with ease, and it cuts through it as fast as you need. There was no damage to the There is no better way to use this. It is recommended to purchase two or three if you are tiling a large, completely enclosed It is my pleasure to welcome you.

Tiles from shower and bath tub are removed by using this method It performed the task I needed
5/5

For instance, I used it to strip the grout away from a spa tub and pull out the tiles so I could replace it with a regular By doing this, it was easier to take out tiles after swapping a tub and prepare to install new ones. The oscillation speed was a better match for this compared to the low As well as my respirator and safety glasses, I also wore safety goggles. Was able to accomplish what I needed.

The toughest and best grout remover on the market
5/5

In a bathroom, grout had to be removed. Hand grout removal tools, a dremel, and now an oscillating tool have all been used to remove grout. The best, fastest, and cleanest way to remove old grout is by far this method. As long as you don't hit the tile too much, they should hold up pretty well. There are a few different brands I have used, but Dewalt is the best by far, and it is also.

Very useful tool, it does what it is supposed to! Located a broken tile in the middle of the room and had to replace it
5/5

The remainder of the tiles were taped, using my oscillating tool to remove grout around damaged tiles. The smashed up tiles were then removed and replaced. After cutting a 36" by 8" tile with a 3/16" grout line, the tiles still have tons of life.
