The o ring is a metal I was overcharged for the repair but the stapler works as it should, so the price is justified. Even though they got you on the price here, sending it to an arthorized repair center is still cheaper than having to pay freight both ways and then having to find out how much you owe when they are done will cost. * That being said, it's a lot more economical to buy this " O ring ".

I was able to use it in my Porter Cable finish nailer without any problems. The issue with the hissing in the head has been resolved. Installing the replacement was easy and just replaces the original clear o ring.
