There are some here that I like. It's quite contrary to the alternative, hose clamps, which are harsh on hands, building materials, and can attach to virtually anything. It is not likely that you can find them in a local store We will not be able to purchase Metabo/Hitachi products at Lowe's, an authorized big box The excessively soft nature of Hitachi hoses makes them a bit of a pain. In addition, I own numerous Hitachi air conditioners (and prefer amflo). I tested these with Metabo/Hitachi and Amflo hoses and they worked perfectly.

Because I have a number of damaged air hoses that I needed repaired, I considered all the possible splicing solutions. This solution is the best, according to my research. As long as it doesn't catch on obstructions, it is much better than anything a hose clamp could do. The only drawback is its bulk / weight. I would have used barbed fittings and compression rings if I had a 3/8 pex crimper, but this is a great quick and easy solution for simplicity, ease of installation, cost, and reusability.
