How long does the lead hose that connects to the tanks have to be?

Extra hose will be required. The pieces that emerge from the reel's base are only about 12 inches long.

Is there enough room on this for 100 feet of hose?

I've got 50' on mine, and I believe another 25' would only fit.

What is the diameter of the hose?

This is a 1/4" duel oxy/acetylene hose, not an air or water hose.

It's not the best product on the market, but it'll be worth it for less than you'll pay for it! The first one worked perfectly for four years on my pipeline welding rig, with no leaks

When it came time to replace the hose, I replaced this reel. Due to the vibration of the welding machine, I had to weld the mounting bracket back to the tube several times, but I still think it's a good product for the price compared to what you'd pay for anything else.

With 100 feet of hose, this hose reel replaced a cumbersome tank cart. I don't need to move it because it has a hose on it. I like the way it's built, and only time will tell how well the seals hold up. When not in use, the reel lock is a nice touch that prevents it from unspooling. 03c.

The best deal

My welding rig likes it a lot. Weaving it to something will cause the tube to break due to the heat. It's bolted on and it's ready to use.

There are parts that are missing

Inside a larger box, the reel arrived in a torn-up box that couldn't even hold the product. Also missing is the entire handle assembly. What a letdown!.

A hose reel that can hold 100 feet of hose, because the hoses from the tanks to the real estate are so short that I'm not sure why they were even sent.

For the quality, it is far too expensive

I bought this item a few months ago and it ripped off the mount I had it on, so I lost my torch hoes. It's not worth it, and I wish I could get my money back.

For me, this is working well. The only thing I would change is the length of the leads, which should be around 18 inches. I had to come up with a way to compensate for the additional length I required. Nonetheless, it performs admirably and prevents hose tangles.
