Yes, there is a difference in size. The 50Ft is slightly larger than the 40Ft to accommodate longer hose lengths.
It's all made in China, just like everything else nowadays.
I expected it to be heavier, and having worked with these professionally, I can attest that this is a positive trait in an auto-transport vehicle. system of retractables br>I haven't weighed it, but I estimate it to be around 15 pounds. This entails avoiding mishaps. hazard wall mount and make sure it's stud-free mounted. Which, to be honest, seems like a no-brainer in the first place, but hey.
I would NOT RECOMMEND USE OF OXYGEN FOR THAT PURPOSE DUE TO THE FIRE AND/OR EXPLOSION RISK. Only qualified personnel and oxygen should be used in a HOSPITAL or appropriate environment.

However, I was on the fence because some people said it was useless because it leaked. If that was all they had to say, I knew I could put a stop to it with some teflon. tape. and I did just that. This is the best; it does not leak at all, and I have a 25-foot extension cord. Lowes low-cost/garbage fittings were used to connect the lead house. I chose to install mine in the studs in the ceiling. I hadn't yet pigmented my ceiling, so it was ideal because I was planning to paint next week. I choose the 25-foot option. I bought the hose because I figured it would be long enough for a two-car garage. It's perfect for covering the garage from corner to corner because it's mounted to the ceiling. a garage that can hold three cars I'd opt for the 50-foot hose. br>br>The retractable mechanism is excellent, and it is also very strong. It can be made softer if desired. You don't want to simply drop the line. I'd hold it as it winds up because it moves quickly; if you pull it loose and then pull it again, it will stop and lock, much like window blinds. br>br>I've had no leaks and the product is built to last; the hose CAN be replaced, and the directions and care/maintenance instructions tell you how to do EVERYTHING with the unit.
That's exactly what I was hoping for. Both the mount and the reel have a solid feel to them. Rubber hoses are superior to flimsy plastic hoses in every way. The mounting holes are punched holes on one side and a slide in "D" punched out on the other. Mounting was a little more difficult with only one set of punched holes, but it may be more secure. A socket is not possible due to the lack of space between the lower plate and the reel.
This was just delivered last week, and as you can see, it's mounted to my ceiling on a 2 x 8 drilled into the joist. The reel appears to be very well built, with a heavy gauge steel frame. It weighs around 30 pounds, so mounting it to the ceiling will require two people. The latching mechanism appears to be durable; I just hope the spring cartridge lasts a long time; there's no reason to believe it won't, but it will be inconvenient if it fails. There are no leaks that I can see, and it's SO NICE not to have to deal with a 50-foot hose that used to wrap around the handle of my compressor. There was no way to stretch it out without causing kinks and curls. br>br>This is a product I would buy again.
Quick access is made possible by a 25' Airline and a sturdy reel mounted on a workbench. The retractable reel allows you to pull the desired amount of hose for use and then quickly retracts back into the reel for storage. Much better than the plastic pvc air line, this rubber hose will not crimp, crack, or rupture if the maximum (psi) pressure is not exceeded.
This is the first air hose rewind I've installed in my shop, and it's made a significant difference in terms of keeping things tidy. Because I use the hose so frequently, I used to leave it lying around. Years ago, I should've purchased one.
I've had this reel for about a month and am very pleased with it. It's HEAVY, and putting it up overhead was a challenge. When installing bolts, the bolt holes are beneath (or above, depending on orientation) the reel and are difficult to reach. I have no complaints, except for the difficult installation.
It was extremely tough and simple to install. The auto rewind is extremely powerful and quick; if you let it go while it's winding up, it could knock you out. This was the most important feature I desired. The speed with which it retracts can also be adjusted. It has proven to be extremely durable and has performed admirably thus far.
The retraction feature is effective and consistent.
