Is it possible to thread this disc onto a regular angle grinder?

This unit requires an arbor with a rubber base, as the disc mounts to the rubber base and has a thread on the back that attaches to the arbor; it cannot be mounted to a drill or grinder without the use of an arbor.

What is the thread size of the backer plate and how many discs are there?

Bristel disc with a diameter of 3 inches. The backer plate is a roloc system with no threads. The plate shaft is made for a 1/4" collet or would work in a drill chuck.

Is it safe to use on a duramax head with this?

There aren't three discs included in the package. Only one of each color is available. If you're only selling one disc, don't show a picture of three. Especially without a strong statement to the contrary, and the description doesn't say how many you'll get.

There are only two discs, not three. Misleading to the point of being dangerous. There are only two discs, not three. The fact that this part came with three discs was the sole reason for ordering it. I'm not happy.

A gentle touch can make a huge difference

These remind me of the old potato ad. You'll be wishing for more. These worked wonders on my Toyota Landcruiser's old, dried-up headliner glue. br>Instructions; Don't be too rough with them, and avoid trapping them in a corner. I almost ruined one by ripping the drive nub off and having to Macgyver a spindle to finish it. I wish I had purchased more.

After only 5 minutes of use, the device broke, but it still works

It broke after 5 minutes of use, the thread is plastic and very fragile! However, it does the job; I found a long metallic thread and was able to repair it and finish using it; however, I wish the attachment was more durable.

It was used to get rid of rust on my car. My silverado's rocker panels have been painted. The edges didn't need to be feathered. I've used it to get rid of rust and old paint on tools. furnishings for the outdoors I'm going to place an order for a few of the smaller sizes.

They scrape the paint and rust away from the metal with barely a touch. I'm not sure how 3M does it, but I'll never use anything else when it comes to removing paint from small metal parts.
