I think it could be better, but it isn't bad. My only complaint about it is that it keeps the sawdust and shop debris off the majority of my clothes, even though I've only been wearing it for about a week. In the top pockets, you can find a pencil, razor knife, and chip brush, but in the bottom pockets there is not much to store. It would have been better to have box pockets so you could actually fit items inside, such as a measuring tape that I need to carry around with me I'd expect the loop to be able to hold up on its own, but it takes two hands to put it on, and it's not sure how long it will maintain its integrity. In the event this tape loop loses its tack, I may rivet a steel tape loop Did it appear to be worth the price? With qualifications, yes. Is there any way it could be improved? Without a doubt. rated it 3 stars because as it stands, it is just an apron and nothing extraordinary. I think something like this would be really good if it had some pockets and a steel tape measure loop.

This product is very well designed and has excellent attention to detail. It is not a good system for straps or strapping. As far as I can see The following text is as is This apron will be difficult for you to wear. When trying to put it on, the straps are loose and easily pull through the grommets on the side, causing the whole thing to fall. then when I were flying military jets, I had to deal with flight gear far more easily than I do now. Although this apron needs some minor alterations, it can be a winner with a few tweaks. For the rear closure, I used 1" adjustable slide release (flat) buckles paired with triglide slides. A strap slides through the grommet to avoid pulling the straps through and the buckle allows the straps to be adjusted according to the body's size. I only paid a few dollars to modify this apron, but I ended up with an excellent product.

This apron is perfect for me. Since I was a child, I had a Rockler apron. This one had pocket flaps so I could fill it with saw dust. Getting sawdust out of the pockets is a thing of the past. An apron's strings are very strong and the waxed canvas has a similar feeling to The simplest but the strongest. I also found the shoulder pads to be incredibly comfy. I find that if you take it one and off it usually falls apart all the way. Where I wanted the straps to end, I took a couple 1/2 inch washers, twisted them, and tied a knot. In this way, it can be filled with my "stuff" and hung by the straps so that I can put it on without the end of the straps slipping. There is no doubt I will have this for at least 10 years and probably longer.

I recently began doing some woodworking and turning projects on my lathe, which required that I purchase an apron or smock that could withstand the hazards of the shop for a full day. An apron is the perfect length for me. It's not too short for me (I'm just a little over six feet tall) and not too long for me to catch everything in it. My perception of it is that it feels more like a canvas than something typical waxed. There is some give to the material, so it moves with you as opposed to being stiff as some are. In regards to the straps, I like that they have shoulder pads on them, so you don't just have 1/2" wide strips of canvas biting down all day long. Although that can get uncomfortable after a while, the pads (think of hip belts on backpacks) make it comfortable, so it is fine for long periods of time. As well as having multiple pockets of different dimensions to hold everything from my cell phone to lathe gouges and chisels, I also really like how it has multiple pockets of different sizes. If, like me, you use the pockets to carry your phone, the pockets are easily accessible even when mittens are on. Multiple pockets have flaps to prevent dust and debris from falling in. It has one drawback because it is a heavy waxed canvas, so in the summer it can be a bit warm when wearing it. The flip side is that if your shop is like mine and you lack air conditioning or heat, you will be kept quite warm in the winter. In fact, my shop is the space under my house (not a basement, but definitely not a crawlspace). The one I finally got was the right apron after I had purchased several other different ones seeking the right Although it provides the right amount of protection, I believe you still have a lot of freedom in your work. A number of the other aprons were either too flimsy (one literally fell apart when I dropped a skew chisel) or too rigid and did not offer the correct amount of comfort while working. From my point of view, this apron provides all that you can need for a comfortable and safe work environment.

Obviously it has its pros and cons. Oof. It could have been so much better. I use it primarily for trimming. Exactly what it is is certainly durable.

* It is certainly dependable. In the week or so since I started using it, the fabric has softened a bit, but the seams have not let up. Ensure that you double-seam all critical seams Everything is stitched and riveted, and there are no loose threads or sloppy sews. There's no danger of tools damaging or poking through the fabric since it is heavy. The top pouches are large enough to accommodate a variety of pencils, crayons, and a few As a consequence, you will be able to carry more weight on your shoulders - a factor that is becoming more and more important with each passing year.
