Questions & Answers

How well does it work on a replica Colt / Walker 1847. What is the 44th ?

Sadly, I do not have a Walker, but I do have a Ruger Old Army that has a shank that is far too short. There are no rounded edges on this finger tool, so it is likely to hit the revolver's receiver. As a caplock rifle enthusiast, I use mine to avoid hitting the hammer when removing the nipsle cap. CVA has longer cap tools that would be safer for you to use. I use one that is quite similar to the one for CVA combination picks and nipple wrenches.

Is this able to be used on a Navy revolver with a no. 10 nip?

It doesn't seem to be the case. The No. 1 version is well suited for this. The 11 nipple is positioned on the Muzzleloaders that use a line of sight

I tested this on a T/C Hawkin and it worked very well
5/5

As far as getting the nipple out is concerned, it worked wonderfully. The price is worth it. The fact that it is short made it easy. I did not have to take the hammer off to remove the breast. It did take me a while to break free the nipple with an adjustable wrench. There was a good idea to put the wrench on the end of the nipple wrench. Since the nipple had been in the gun for 33 years, it wasn't damaged. It is hard for me to decide whether or not the cross bar is Taking out the cross bar allowed us to attach the adjustable wrench on the one hand and the cross bar for support on the other. I'm afraid, however, that I won't be able to hold.

The closer quarters of percussion arms are much better suited to it
5/5

It is very useful for working in confined spaces and I prefer it to the long nipple wrench I used the long shank wrench before, but it was cumbersome in the tight space under the hammer. This worked fine under the hammer. Additionally, this wrench has a handle that is cemented onto the nipple permanently, so that it won't slip off. Because of the thickness of the handle and the strength of the lever, it is quite easy (even possible) Its small size makes it easy to carry around in your pocket or bag, since it can easily fit in one.

This was purchased for a Hawken muzzleloading rifle. I was able to get the nipple off without a problem.
