Hopefully, it will be OK. I also put a piece of cardboard so the pressure wouldn't be as great on the rubber line. (Only for rubber lines, not metal.)
If it works on a hose connecting to an emission system, it should work.
It is possible for them to do so. If the largest one is used, the radiator hose will be ripped off. However, if you need to pinch off two hoses, the medium one is likely to be A large clamp and two smaller clamps would be needed.
There is a click between the square piece and The locks lock on, they work well, and I have two sets (I ordered a second set and have been using them every day for several years in a busy workshop and they work great even in the most adverse conditions).

They are made of plastic and do have some flaws. An irregular closing can occur in the area where it closes and the opening can be variable. Up and down motions tend to be more like a scissor The clamp on the bottom is down. Some of it does work, but name brands that are more expensive.
I like the balance between quality and price of these. Even if one breaks every year, I still will continue to buy them since they are so useful for quickly and easily blocking off fluid lines.
You've got some great ideas here! These save on overhead by conserving coolant, which is something I use every day. For any mechanic, this is an essential tool.
Since they have arrived, I am pleased with their quality and service. Even though I'm not a professional (that is, I don't pay $60 for a Phillips screwdriver in the way pros do), I still buy tools once in a while. Whenever I purchase a set of tools, I expect that I will be buying them for the first and last time. Thus, like I said, my expectations were not high for these and I just wanted to see how they would fare at that price.
These clamps are far more durable than one would expect based on their price. As I said, I went through the price versus features analysis, but cheap tools can also be a problem. In the case of clamps, you get a lot more than what you paid for. You get what you pay for when you say "you get what you pay for. ".
Don't waste your money on it, I'm not going to use it.
I couldn't use the clamp because it was too small. To clamp off flow through a siphon hose (reviewed here Amazon 'Super Siphon w/ 6' Siphon Hose 2 Pack'), I bought these. There are no sharp edges on the hose, so the clamp should be easy to remove. We couldn't clamp tight enough with the medium clamp and the small clamp could barely fit across all the way across. During my attempt to stop the flow of the water, I put both ends on the hose. After I returned to it, I found that my transmission had been overfilled with 3 extra quarts of ATF. The parts are of poor quality, the kind you would find in the bargain bin of an After the initial use, I thought they would be suitable for occasional usage after they have had their one use. This was not true. Make sure you get something that you can rely on by spending a little more.
It's good to see them. So far, they have worked every time. It was just a little bit wobbly with a slight side twist. No major problems. The only thing that could have made them more appealing would have been a bit more stiffness. However, they're well worth the price. I'll probably buy a second set to add to my tool box in the home garage.
