I have updated There is no doubt about the quality of this key set, however it's better suited for use inside a secondary toolbox or truck bag than in belt pouches or hip bags. There's a brick in there! Besides being bulky, the item adds a lot of weight to the bag. The one thing about this key set is that you can use it constantly yet if you are looking for one that can be used once in a while, this is not it. Having said that, while it's a nice tool to have, you won't want to carry it every time you go out I would recommend to you that you either don't have time. Or, if you do, you either have a lot of extra space and/or don't care about weight like My pouch felt like it had a small M18 battery stuffed down inside of it. This review is based on the original review Although I have plenty of allen/hex keys and sockets in my garage, if I'm working on side jobs out or in my truck I've sometimes found it challenging to find the right size hex key for set screws or lugs. The allen key looks like a good option to add to my tool kit so that I don't have to take tools from the garage all the time. Unlike other comments, this is not a tiny thing! The allen key it replaces is about triple the size of the one you're This is not a bad thing, though, as long as the product is durable. Despite having a good range of sizes, it definitely tends to skew in favor of larger sizes for applications like panel lugs and so on. I see nothing wrong with this, but if you mainly work with hex applications with tiny characters, then you will need A certain number of jobs you can just make due with. If you do not have a wrench of the right size, you can use pliers instead. In contrast, with hex/allen applications, you have to have it when you need.
Upon first use, the metal twisted and bent the shaft of the second largest hex Allen screw. Wasting a lot of money if they used stronger and more durable metal for real electricians, they'd have something to show for it. I returned it to Home Depot and exchanged it.
On Amazon, it seems that this hex key tree is well made for what it costs. The ten keys on that keyboard are the ones that I will use on a daily basis and are all SAE size keys. New keys are stiff to move, but after a bit of use they become more pliable. Using the keys is possible in the 90-degree and 120-degree ranges A 90-degree position or 180 straight out is also possible, or even fully flipped over so that the body becomes a handle to aid turning. Despite the fact that the body is made of plastic, it is actually very sturdy and doesn't flex much when force is applied. It's not an insulated tool, however, since the through-hole is not the type that's insulated The bolts that hold the keys in place are also in contact with them on the ends of the handles. When you get used to carrying the set, it can feel a bit bulky, but I find it more convenient than having to carry both smaller and larger sets of hex key trees.
I am happy with my progress so far This tool is unsuited for the task that it is supposed to be doing In order to remove set screws from any fixture that does not require heavy electrical or hvac work, such as As a result of this, this set is not small enough (namely it does not have small enough allen wrenches). Even the smaller sizes provide enough torque for a 208/480 pump motor. I used it around the shaft collar of a pump motor and it worked flawlessly. A great deal of length and strength are found in the wrenches. It is a good product and I carry it in my grab and go bag for work (HVAC).
It was not what I thought it was at all. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of the product, it seems well constructed and doesn't require any loctite for installation like some Allen key sets do. Due to the sizing, it is actually possible to torque bolts without putting too much stress on yourself. IKEA shoppers need to read this if they plan to purchase from them!.
The Allen key set is of high quality. There is no reason to complain as Klein is rarely found to deliver inferior products across the board. The biggest surprise, however, was just how huge this Allen set really You cannot just pick this up and carry it around in your pocket since it is huge and bulky and difficult to maneuver in tight spaces. However, it will be nice to break some old Allen screws that haven't been touched in years, since it will help tighten up the bolts that are hard to loosen. As a result of not doing enough research on size before buying, I will take the blame.
When I lose tools or forget them inside HVAC units, I'm likely to lose them. You won't be able to lose these easily. These precision tools are heavy (and durable) and each Allen wrench does not lift If the tool is shoved in a tool bag or in a place that is not well lit, the bright colors make it easy to identify.
You can tell the quality of this set is better than a normal standard set because it is bigger, heavier, and more durable. Buying this set because I needed one as an Earth Man, I bought then and It was a good deal and I did end up using it the next day, the off brand did not have the size we were looking for, I'm going to purchase another set for my home tools now,.
