In the event of a SHTF scenario, access to water will be necessary to stay alive. This key is an absolute necessity for the city or suburban prepper. It is likely you could find clean drinking water outside your home even if you were forced to leave your home for some other reason. This is because almost every house and building has an outside tap. You will be able to access that water easily with this key.
There is only one way to open the sillcock key at the water spigot in my commercial building for outdoor use. It was the cheapest key I could find on Amazon, and it is quite durable. Almost seems as if it will last for ever. Having four different sizes, I knew one of them would be able to fit the stem of the locking door and the spigot as well. Perfectly suited to the job.
In case the world turns post-apocalyptic, I plan to keep this in my truck to have some water when it is needed. If I ever have to use it, I hope it won't be necessary. Despite that, it is built well!.
I bought it for that purpose. I can't fit it into the hole to access the square because it is too thick. Although it is heavy and well constructed, I was impressed if you are looking at it as a tool for use other than to heat radiators.
