This is one of those tools you'll rarely use but be grateful you have This is one of those tools you probably set aside for the special day you will need it, since you probably already have a lot of hex keys, and wouldn't want to damage them. Those are what they are for me anyway, but I can't find a stubby key set much larger than this without grinding down my own keys. In the past, there were times when I wished I had these tools, but instead I had to get creative. As a result, I haven't used these yet, but anyone who works with small stuff for a living will likely wish they had these at one point. When I need them next, I'll be so happy that I have them on hand.

There is a problem with the size of the holes for the individual keys. There are some keys that are too loose and fall out, and there are others that are too tight that I had to use pliers to pull them.

In this case, I only made three but saw that you could order the entire set already made, so I ordered them immediately and have not made any more since. The smaller Allen wrenches are great for tight spaces where the larger models will not fit.

In a tight spot, this is just what you need. We had a job that required a stubby Allen wrench, and I was disappointed to discover they were not readily available in our city. Those were a life saver when I found them. If the screw doesn't line up perfectly with the hole on the wrench, the ball end allows you to start threading even if the screw and hole are not positioned perfectly parallel.
