Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how long the set is? The issue is that I want it to stay in my tool bag, but I want to make sure it won't flop around. ?

It's a child of seven and a half I have both sets of 1/4" long. It took me just a minute to measure the metric ones, which are 2" I have my US standard set at work, so I do not have an exact measurement for the width of this set As soon as the black holders are removed from the rack, they become wider. A rough estimate of how many US standard sets there are would be around 3 The width of this window is 1/2 inch.

Would you please let me know if I can There has already been a loss of 1/8 size. Getting a set for the first time?

The moment, we do not keep any single hex keys on hand

Could you tell me if these are better than your 20199 drivers?

Hello, there! The materials are the same, but the finish differs. The 20399 package includes both BriteGuard and BrightGuard This version of GoldGuard finishing is platinum. A Protanium® W/ProguardTM Finish is available on 20199. The Holy Spirit

It is my ignorance that I apologize for Using these wrenches, what is the benefit of having a ball feature on the long end? What about the wrenches' usefulness if that is the case?

After working as a mechanic a few months, I became a construction worker. Although my tools were not Bondhus, I was amazed by the ball on the end of the Eight and Tone brand wrenches that I used. If I had to choose between a set of wrenches with or without ball ends, I would choose In the event of non-standard equipment If you put the head into a bolt too far and not to the ball end it will strip it out. I tightened hundreds of fasteners every day during my short career as a mechanic. I stripped a number of bolt heads when I used the non-ball end. Using the ball end of a wrench I have never damaged a bolt head. Upon looking at the short lever arm on the other side, you might conclude that it is a question of torque, but with the short heads, you can easily use a spanner as a torque extender. These balls also work great for gaining access to bolts that are off angle. With any Japanese tool I used I never had a ball end break even when the ball was turned with a lot of force to loosen fasteners. Except for a made in China Husky long ratchet bit for the smallest size 1, all but one ball end was made in China. Two hex keys of 5mm where I snapped I used the ratchet a lot when I first started out. My hands fatigued so easily that I only used ratchets on rare occasions, especially when there were many bolts to fasten.

Does it finish in 14 Karat Gold? The Goldguard finish is described as follows Then "- The finish on this ring is 14 karat gold
3/5

I will - There will be no chipping or flaking of the gold plate. I will - This product is better for protecting against corrosion and rust than chrome.

All well and good, but just take a look at the picture (I haven't even opened it). There is a 1/5 chance this product will not be recommended.

There are 5 stars for these in the gunsmith's opinion
5/5

We have a gunsmith These do not round out especially the tiny allens, as do the cheap allen wrenches. My knowledge of steel is that the ones used in these are a lot better quality than those in Chinese Tool Stores. I tried theirs, so I know what they are like. To remove all allens would take a lot of time and money for me. Make sure you use the proper tools the first time you won't have to do it more than once. In order to loosen all the allens that were used with the "forever red thread sealant", you can use a small hand-held soldering iron or wood burning tool with the pointy end to touch in the middle of the allen until the threads soften in thirty seconds. With your allen wrench, back it out with speed, then it should pop right out! Wait 45 seconds, then back it out with speed! I'm happy to assist. It's not a question of if I would buy Bondhus allen products or not.

Despite daily use and still functioning as new, this item has been working for 5 years
5/5

For the past five years, I have been using these on the job. In an industrial setting, they are pretty much used almost every day. In addition to being dropped, over torqued, abused, and soaked in hydraulic oil, these components have been abused. Even after many years, they were still in good condition. It is still possible to see the letters and numbers on the holder! In all other brands, the lettering would wear out after In my experience, I have never broken off a ball end, and the tips do not round. For the past 3 months I had been buying new Allen keys every 3 months, as I used to do with cheap Chinese allen keys. As far as I can tell, I have only used the metric set a few times, but it seems to be just as durable. The two pictures attached are the actual set I have after five years of daily use. Bondhus is one of my favorite books. We are proud to say it is Made In USA.

The tools are still available to professionals, and this proves it
5/5

It might seem strange, but many of us who still use and abuse a lot of tools wish for the quality tools we used to have 40 or 50 years ago It has been 50 years since I was born. It is that quality and more that we expect from Bondhus ball end allen wrenches, or Allen wrenches as we referred to them. The three brands I need not mention that I've owned and broken in all pro shops include almost all of the brands I own now. They will replace their broken way overpriced hex keys with these Bondhus wrenches and nobody will know what or where they got them. In case you are tired of your allen wrench, hex key, or whatever the heck they're called these days, rounding over the inside of the bolt you need to remove because the wrench is out of spec or made of soft material, then purchase It's hard to believe how sturdy these wrenches are and how well they fit. The tools I have purchased prior to December 2020 are the basis for my comments here. Having already bought multiple sets from Amazon to outfit multiple tool boxes that operate remotely, I decided to purchase more.

It is hard to find any better tool I have ever bought than this USA made tool
5/5

Although the fit is tight, you won't have to replace the screws and bolts because you stripped them. You will have to wiggle them a little bit to get them in and out. work in gun smithing and most of the allen wrenches I use on a daily basis are the smallest ones. Honestly, I had not expected them to last as long as they do. Most of the bandages I have used in the past lasted a week or two. These will bend your fingers before they bend you. While they are a bit more expensive than a china tool, I really like them. ALL of my bent and broken ended tools in my tool box went to the scrap pile so I now have an entire drawer for There is no need to purchase anything else. The screws used to hold the sights and rails in most sights and rails use blue or red Lock tight to hold the screws in, so when I went to work on some of the stubborn known companies using Red Lock Tight, I lit the torch to hold the screws in. Unlike before, now I use these tools first. I believe they are the best allen wrenches available right now. This product is manufactured in the United States.

I am amazed at the quality of this product
5/5

As part of my job, I use these all the time. My daily work requires me to use allen key screws, bolts, etc. I have used Craftsman, Husky, and Kobalt. These are by far the best! It was originally purchased because I was having problems with the black keys disappearing on the carpet I work on. Although the keys were of a very high quality, I was very happy with their performance. It has been a month since we have used these balls heavily, but the tips have not rounded and all the ends are in perfect shape. They will keep me updated if anything changes, but for now, I can't live without them.

There is something wrong with these wrenches, the fit is terrible
3/5

The Bondhus keys I use at work and at home have been with me for years. My usual method of getting SAE/Metric binders in the red and yellow plastic carriers is to get the cheapest set. Having recently worn out my old set, I decided to buy a flashy gold and silver set to replace it. One of the issues is that a few of the metric hex keys are TOO LARGE! There is a minor error of about a thousandth of an inch, and the socket cap hex bolts I need don't fit. In the past, I have never had hex keys that were this heavy. This is either because the plating is too heavy or they use a large hex rod to make the keys. There are three particular sizes we have a problem with 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm. Consequently, I bought a set of hex keys from the home improvement store that are branded with their store's logo, and they are working fine now.

I absolutely love this
5/5

The pros include It is really worth every dollar to get these allen wrenches. Despite knowing that the wrenches from various other manufacturers worked as well, these ones did not. They haven't worn out or rounded out yet, so they're running smoothly and do not twist like other brands. They also fit firmly on screw heads compared to other brands of wrenches. The silver and gold finishes on these are also great. In my opinion, gold is not my favorite color, and if I had a choice I would have chosen silver, HOWEVER, having two different colors is helpful for keeping your English and metric measurements Among the cons This is going to make your coworkers want to steal it. I recommend that you spend a few extra dollars on these wrenches to save time and money in the long run. It has only been a short time since I got them, but I can already tell that they will last longer than any other wrench If you cheap out, you will end up spending more money buying cheaper tools every time you need them. The following is an update/revision to the previous release The following things happened on November 6, It has been more than a year and a half since I bought my first pair of these. Despite the fact that I didn't need a brand new set, I was constantly in need of these on two sides of my workstation (machine shop), and I immediately purchased another set. This first set of sunglasses has held up incredibly well, even with constant use. So far, I have only broken one wrench (either the 3/16" or the 5/64", a small one), but that's only because I overused it with a torch and a As far as I can tell, the stubby is still usable despite grinding the end down. The wrenches still won't fail to meet my expectations! It is absolutely worth it to purchase them.
