This knife blade is fitted with a Stanley handle. It is replaceable.
As the diameter of the spool is different with fiberglass mesh tape, this gun will not work with paper tapes. The purpose of this is to serve yourself It requires mud to adhere to the tape, so you'll need to lay it down first, then run it through it. If you are using a banjo like the Delko with an applicator wheel on the inside corner, you will do better. A single step is enough to tape and mud. (Or FibaFuse) is used as the tape for the banjos.

Okay, I'm far from an expert, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. The tool was very easy to use and once I got a hang of it, I was hooked. I hate it, and so does my wife. Due to the fact that I do not use mesh tape around corners, I did not use the corner feature. A paper corner bead with a sturdy edge is always used in my Even though I don't know if the corner function will work, I might try it just to see There's a sudden urge for curiosity in me. I would still buy this simply for the convenience of straight-tapping in the future. That is so much easier than rolling it out and pressing it/cutting it by hand. Don't listen to my wife.
To handle the tool correctly, there is a learning curve. As with the cutter, you will need to learn how to use it. The tape needs to be cut in such a way that the end is sharpened correctly. When the tape is rolled into the corners, the V wheel does a good job. It is very difficult for the tool to operate in tight spaces, but it is very effective in open areas.
When taping for drywall with this tool, you will save a lot of time. There's only one reason for a rating of 4 stars because the two buttons that hold the corner extension in place tend to get stuck and it's a pain to fix them. My guess is that it is the springs that are faulty. We may consider another brand next time, especially a metal one that is more durable.
It is great for those of us who don't perform a lot of drywall work. It takes a certain rhythm to tape for the pros. It was difficult for me to use mesh tape without help, so this tool made things much easier. Even corners will be no problem for it.
I found this product to be a good value and very easy to use.
While it functions well for corners, it folds over the extra strength tape, which causes a tangle.
In order to facilitate the application of drywall tape on inside crevices, this taping unit assists with the application. To simplify and speed up tape application, the crease wheel folds into position when not in use to place the tape the right way. Additionally, the built-in cutter makes it easy to get tape cut to the length that is needed.
