I bought it because the description stated that it was made in the United States. Made in China is written on the package. I went to check, but the made in area was covered by a sticker. br>br>Removed a portion of the sticker and replaced it with one that reads "Made in China. " If it were possible, I'd give you a zero for deceiving me.
When I first used two of these, they both broke. Under relatively little torque, the shank of one started spinning in the handle, and the tip of another split in half. I have 30 year old Craftsman tools that look similar to these, but they appear to be stage props.
Although the price is not surprising, these are manufactured in China. "The Craftsman 17-piece Set" reads the description. "This Screwdriver Set is made in the United States by a name you can trust. " Stuff made in China isn't always bad, but the incorrect description raises suspicions.
They are not manufactured in the United States, but rather in China. False advertising is a type of marketing that is used to trick people into buying something they don't want. I'm not in a good mood at the moment.
I placed an order for this a few days ago, and Ascend Ecommerce fulfilled it. Unfortunately, there was a manufacturing flaw in the set of screwdrivers I received; one of the slotted (i. e. , flat- The tip of the (square head) screwdrivers wasn't machined at the factory and was only 1/4" square. br>br>Quality control at Sears is clearly not what it once was. If I'm going to buy shoddy tools, I might as well get the same set for $7 from HFT! br>br>In addition, I checked and this set is $27 at my local Sears. Instead of $37, you can get it for 99 cents. On Amazon, the book is priced at $95.
I'm very dissatisfied with the Craftsman screw driver set I received, which was made in China and is of poor quality. I was hoping to find some Craftsman screw drivers made in the United States by Western Forge. My grandfather used Craftsman screwdrivers, but these aren't them. My father didn't use screwdrivers like this. These aren't the screwdrivers I remember from my childhood. br>br>America first; manufactured in the United States of America; The United States of America is self-sufficient. it is sufficient.
I'd like a refund of my money. Not at all what they said. I'm quickly learning that Amazon is not a good place for real mechanics to shop. I'm very dissatisfied with Amazon for deceiving me. I'm not going to give Craftsman any more of my money. I'm hoping that others share my dissatisfaction with Amazon's preference for low-cost imports over high-quality domestic products. I'm not going to waste my time returning these to the post office. And to all of you, a very happy holiday season.
Before we opened the package, we discovered that the longest screwdriver was broken. Someone in quality control failed to do their job because the break was not clear and sharp. It had been smoothed out. They coated and packaged it despite the fact that it had broken halfway through the manufacturing process. I'd appreciate it if you could find someone to take my place.
