Cuts woollen felt well. I use them for that purpose.
The sharp end ("circular") should not work with wood veneer at all, as it is too fragile. Hope this helps!
There is no way I will do that. Plastics such as ABS, chipboard, cardstock, and even light sheet metal are only suitable for thin cases, but not brittle plastics such as acrylic or polystyrene (which make up most generic jewel cases). Then it is flexible, and you are It's best to use laser cutting or a CNC router if the object is brittle.
Although I do not have a lot of experience with carpeting, the bag punches through 1/4 inch veg tan leather without a problem

Since my husband uses an electric grinder to sharpen his mower blades, I was able to give the blade a sharper edge, resulting in a much better cutting experience. I can improve the edge a little further if I hone it a bit more. It is really necessary to use a knife edge when cutting fabric.
For color copies, I glue them down to medium weight chipboard sheets, then add 110# cardstock copies. In most cases, the punch can cut through the material in two consecutive hits. The results are professional, with clean edges. I surprised my friends by telling them that I made them at home, and they wondered where I had bought them. In the beginning, I used a cutting board under the chipboard, but the cutting board was rubberized. I would have to strike the punch at least 10 times to make one cut because it was absorbing most of the blow. I almost returned it in the beginning because I thought it was boring. Since switching to a firm cutting board and putting it on a concrete surface where no energy could be absorbed, it now cuts easily in one motion This page has been accessed 3 times. As of now, I am satisfied with the performance of this pump, but I have no idea how long the life will last.
To start with, here are The following *br I like the price
There's enough metal to make it strong - I got my blades circle from the company and they were perfect I like the size
Now here are some The following *br There was much room for improvement in the welding job 1. Apparently, the delivery man did not package it well, so he dropped it over the fence and it struck the blade on the way down.
The blades were not machined, so they were less sharp as a result
Problems and solutions from past reviews Seeing the reviews showing smashed or busted tools made me question the credibility of this product. Knowing the welding wasn't the best solution I used a one pound rubber mallet tool and cut a 2x4 piece of wood into two short pieces with an art cutting pad. It was easy to cut the kind of foam that is closer to wet suits and approximately 6mm thick with one tap to dig in, followed by 4 taps in each direction on one side and then finishing with a centered tap. I finished 40 cuts in 7 minutes. The time taken is five As you can see, the inside was filed down with a Dremel sanding stone to make it clean and sharp. You should not allow the Dremel to take any of the perfect blade circle away. ** WEAR SAFETY GLASSES so you can see all the pieces of metal and sparks clearly so you won't get metal shot into your eyes. Adding pictures will be added if this receives enough upvotes. Observations and Conclusions It is a good thing and absolutely worth buying if you use it correctly and possibly clean it up (I might drop it on the garage floor and ruin the blade or something if I drop it). I am very impressed with this item and am very happy to have ordered it.
I think the tool I received somehow managed to get through quality control without being finished. On the tool in the photo, you can see that the grind is long. There is no indication about how long it is. Just under an eighth of an inch was ground into the punch I got. This form makes for a blunt angle that can barely punch a hole in an index card! Despite multiple layers of canvas, I could not punch a hole. We had no choice but to keep it. In order to meet the deadline, the project needed to be completed on time. In my electric drill, I inserted the tool, then ground it with a small belt grinder to get the right angle. It was then polished to a 400 grit inside and out I used 1000 grit sand paper and it worked well. Vegetable tanned leather is just as durable as thick Here's the thing. General Tool Company, Inc. You've got to get this.
To make them for friends and family is my pleasure. There is just not enough punch in the punch. A simple process can be used to sharpen them. A grinder, if you have one, or even a belt sander on its side can be used for the purpose.
One issue I found with the reviews I read is that people are hitting the punch too frequently, when used too much it might break. When you strike the punch into the wood post, you are driving the punch into the end. Use a short piece of wood such as a 4" x 4" post. Usually you don't need to hit it more than two times due to the grain of the wood. The product is good, but you need to use sharp edges on the fabric and the right backing type.
In order to install a rooftop rack on a vehicle, the factory rubber channel covers on the roof must be modified. Rather than using a hole saw as seen in videos, which left a ragged looking hole, I used this tool and a block of wood as a backer to punch clean, Highly recommended! I am extremely satisfied with the result.
In any case, it's too weak to be used for heavy tasks. At the point between the round cutter and the arch, the metal is thinner than it appears in the amazon photo and Although the side of the one I have cracked completely, if I are to apply any force at this point, the other side would also snap completely. Either there's a thin spot in the metal or the weld is bad. In either case, the failure occurs at a high stress point in the punch that can quickly cause the tool to fail. To avoid harm if the item flies apart when used, ensure you have gloves and safety glasses on while handling it.
Over hundreds of paper cutouts were resulted from this tool. I love the punch you made! As I cut out hundreds of circles out of aluminum, I was incredibly impressed by how sharp the edge remained. After experimenting with several surfaces, I found that the edge grain of a block of wood was the most effective.
