I still use this tool as my favorite since I bought it four years ago. The program has served me well in a wide variety of applications for as long as I've been studying mechanical engineering. The bike has done the job every time it has been in the garage, on the job, and up into the Sierra Nevadas. My phone has been used to cut wood for fires, to tighten screws on my laptop, to post-process 3D printed objects, to cut bailing wire, and in at least 100 other ways. Getting the job done with this tool won't be easy. It is designed to be used. It is of full size, sturdy, and can be used. Those wire cutters are replaceable for the day I have to chew them up cutting something they weren't designed to do. Some of my better dedicated folding knives hold an edge better than this knife. A quick cut can be achieved on cardboard, plastic, and 2x4s more than well with the saw. This file is made from rock solid plastic and has been used on various common metals and plastics These screw drivers hold their grip even under high torque. They are full sized and do not slip. There are a few things I really like about these tools The can opener is sharp and fast, and I have used it dozens of times. The pliers feel heavy and hold on to whatever I am holding onto firmly. Every time even after all this use, it is still able to fold up tightly. I keep this tool in my backpack all the time. Regardless of price, I do not believe there is a better multitool. An overall rating of 6. 6 out of 10.
A gift like this is something I bought for my son, since he appreciates them a lot The tools are useful, and they are made. It's been a while since I've carried one of these on my belt, and I've used it so much that mine is starting to get war-worn. When it comes to actual jobs I've done with this thing, the only damage I've ever caused was to bend the smallest screwdriver with abuse as a pry- bar Even though I am only a short distance away from my real toolbox, I sometimes whip out a Leatherman even though all of the tools are useful.
The first thing I want to say in this review is how much I love this tool. I love the way it fits in my pocket, it's durable, and it has a tool for every need. The materials are the point of contention for me. That's what we're going to address. Simply put, this is not stainless steel, and if it is, it is cheap garbage stainless steel. It has not been that often that I've used this, but I love it when I do. In light of that, I made the mistake of using one of the smaller standard drivers to adjust my sprinkler heads, resulting in the instrument getting obviously As I looked at it, I thought, "That's a Leatherman, it's stainless. ". It all shook off and I put it in my pocket after the work was done. We are in the middle of the fun. After the next day, I try to use the driver again and notice something dark in there on the file. What the heck is that? It's rust. What is the matter with the "stainless" tool? My only use for the file is for backups. a little more, I see that there are some other spots for me to visit. Clearly, the materials used for the tools are of high quality It is made from lower-grade steel and has a lower degree of oxidation resistance, doesn't it? No matter how things look, there will always be imperfections. It is probably a marketing ploy where just the case is stainless so they can say The problem here is we are far from perfect. I find rust on the frame as well after looking for more corrosion. So, I am not happy with that. This seems to be stainless steel, but what kind is it? In fact, the entire tool is firmly gripped by the magnetic screw bowl when I brought it over to it. The good thing about chrome steel is that magnets are not supposed to Similarly, my thermos is made of actual stainless steel, which is not attracted to the magnet. You may wonder why the polish stuck to both the tool and the case since the tool itself is not even what you might call "rust proof", much less stainless steel. It's been known for a long time that the "Made in USA" slogan is just a marketing campaign used to trick people into thinking the product is superior. This statement is just blatant false advertising. In spite of the countless uses, I haven't seen a scratch on my swiss multitool after nine years. I even took it under water for a pool repair, but there are no signs of wear on it. In my mind, 'Leatherman' seemed like a shining example of a company, even above victianox, that made quality tools. I aspired to get a hold of one someday. I am disappointed that the day has arrived and have to face it. My expectations may have been too high, but as I see it, it seems you are paying $30 for a nice tool and $50 for a It's upsetting to hear that. In a nutshell It is not stainless, rust can appear even on unused tools if they are a little damp. The whole.
Getting this tool for my nephew who is a carpenter and outdoorsman was a great decision. It is quite versatile and can be used in a variety of situations thanks to its 19 different tools. Obviously, being a Leatherman, it is of great quality. The Leatherman collection also includes one of the largest tools. In addition to being very nicely packaged and packaged, the knife was also included with a leather sheath which fits great. It is likely that you will begin to wear out before it does with a 25 Year Warranty. A delivery failure in the carrier's system caused the original order to be lost. I'd like to thank Melissa from NetRush for getting the replacement sent to me with a different carrier so quickly. Despite being predicted a day early, it arrived a day early. I would like to thank Madelyn and NetRush for their prompt response.
I bought this item used, but it looked new and had never been used so I did not pay full price. Having this as back up in the car is useful, and it takes up little storage For me, this is a deal breaker). The item was delivered ahead of schedule, and was packaged and prepared professionally. Neither the item nor the seller have caused me any problems.
The item arrived as described, and since it was a replacement for an item of the same model, I knew what to expect. It is difficult to open the tools due to their stiffness. There are a variety of lubricants I've applied In the past, WD40, Kroil, gun oil, and Tri-c have all been used It is fluid. The tools were manufactured just a hair too tight, so none of them have affected them. Sadly, when this happens to a hinged tool, such as pliers, the tool does not loosen enough over time to be more useful. The manufacturing process or quality control of Leatherman when this particular product was manufactured was off by just a little bit.
I have never purchased a better tool in my life than the Custom CERAKOTE! The more I use this and the more I love it, the more I want to purchase In my current position as a full-time diesel mechanic, I can tell you how convenient it is to have screwdrivers, pliers, and knives all in one hand. Multiple times, I have used this hammer as a hammer, and one can't even tell that it is one. I love the leather sheath, especially after I broke it.
