Questions & Answers

Is there a pouch included with this leatherman?

The one I had As much as I would hate to say it and have Amazon change my order, my sheath came in a nice nylon.

Can you tell me what type of pliers it is?

This item does not have a spring mechanism

How many replacement blades does it come with?

Believe it or not, I have an old one with a rusted blade. Leatherman told me to mail it (at my cost) and the blade would be replaced free, and free shipping would be sent back to me as well. It's true that they stand behind their product. The 25 year warranty is legit. It will be fixed for free if you send it in.

When you rub your hands, does the black rub off all over? Can you tell me how long this will ?

It gets on all of it! It is normal for this to happen, according to Leatherman. I am advised to use WD-40 or CRC to clean it. The resulting oil has not only turned everything black, but it is also all over everything! Their efficacy wears off with continual The one I have has been with me for at least three years.

I have only one complaint about this tool
3/5

Despite having a lot of work on my hands, I utilize this tool for automotive work, house work, farm work, and a lot more. However, there is one exception. A circled area is a unique feature of the tool that is designed to accomplish the following They are always willing to pinch snot from your hand and to help you create new insults. When closing it you will need to be very careful, as it will try to hang on to you as if it does not want to go back into The process of closing tools can be difficult when you work odd jobs and don't always have the luxury of following the proper procedure. It's unclear why they didn't just clear this area so as to avoid such unnecessary.

A pocket-sized camera Tool with the size of a beast
5/5

I highly recommend this book. Buying the Rebar will benefit you in the following ways The quality of the build is excellent. Made in the United States. The parts are all solid steel, no plastic, no play, no rattling. All machining has been done in house, everything is perfect. It has a very good tool selection. The wire cutters should be replaceable. In the locked position, all tools are secure. The handles are comfortable to hold. A round number. With off-edges, you can use it for extended periods without getting fatigued. Dimensions and weight are also taken into consideration. A full-sized Leatherman that is the lightest on the market Use the right size tool. Despite having most of the tools you'll need mounted on one of the best plier heads in the world, the multitool can nonetheless fit in a pocket or be worn on a belt comfortably. The following points make up a performance This is a surprising pair of pliers for its size. 154CM wire-cutters are the exact same pair as on the larger tools, such as This is a much stronger version than the pinch The Wingman lets you type on the screen. The tool steel head of the D2 is made of. This is a very durable and strong material. The blades are sharp and the can is beefy The full-sized opening tool plus an awl The file is large, and the saw is very aggressive. The following items are required for the 25-year-old. It is covered by a yearlong Leatherman warranty. It's okay to pass it on to your kids as long as you don't get too carried away with it. Here are a few reasons why you should not buy The Rebar is an excellent tool, but it is not likely to fulfill your needs as well as an alternative multitool. There will be people who do not like this design by design. Each tool's contents can be viewed by opening the tool. The pros and cons of this are both present. You also have fewer edges on the tool, which means it won't catch in your pants/pockets or make it as dirty, etc. Plus, it's one less thing to worry about catching on something. Many countries prohibit the use of knives that open with the left hand. You may find that the Rebar does not meet your needs depending on the tools you plan to use most. The scissors must not be used. If the scissors are ineffective, it would be a flaw (having no scissors by choice is not a When it comes to scissors in a multitool, you should automatically take the Rebar out of your list.
• No springs. An example of a loaded plier. There is no spring in the pliers due to design choices. That's why they are the way they are, just like no scissors. Spring could be expected if In the event that loaded pliers are high on your priority list, this is not the tool you need. You will not find a pocket clip in this item. Even if it is easily carried in a pocket, it cannot actually be attached to There is no one-size-fits-all solution to the Rebar problem Obviously, it is supposed to be a purely hand-held, rapid deployment tool, so a pocket clip is not needed. It is possible though, if you really want to, to add one. You cannot wear it because it is too small. The Leatherman Heavy Duty series is very capable, but there are larger models available that may better suit your needs. It is part of duty. The conclusion is Prior to purchasing a multitool, do your research. First, determine what is important to you, then buy a multitool that covers all of Multitools need to be adjusted to fit your needs, not the other way around. Put yourself in the perspective of what is most Is it something you hope to use, or just something you want to look at? What reason is it serving? Do you want one for work, hobby, or for your own use? Would you consider the pliers as the main reason for buying it and The blades are what attracts you to it, right? Despite the fact that the Rebar does not suit everyone's needs, there are a variety of other options out there, so it is likely you can find something to fit your needs. If possible, visit a store to inspect it in person. Look at the prices, read the reviews, and if possible, try it out for yourself. There is very little to no chance that you will find an ideal multitool with a suitable tool selection, quality, ergonomic design, and price. You will t need to buy a few different models. However, you will eventually find something that is almost perfect. For me, the Rebar fits this description. The photos are These pliers are used to hold rivets and rebar. There is no difference in the size of the wire cutters. 3.

It is the best leatherman to carry if you are also carrying a blade-only The Leatherman Surge has been my cherished tool for many years
5/5

I have tried a Skeletool and a Wave, but they were all inferior to the Leatherman Surge. I keep the Surge in my bag since it is too bulky to be an EDC. I moved the Skeletool to my range bag because it didn't have the tools I wanted and felt were important to have. In my case, I carry the quick access OTF Microtek so I don't require a fast outer blade opening with one hand as on Leatherman Surge or Wave, these features make them bigger Despite being small, compact, and light enough, the REBAR is also pocketable and the nylon sheath sits fairly flat on my belt as well. So I find that the REBAR is something that I can use comfortably for most tasks. There is a serrated blade, a straight blade, a saw, file, awl with hole, needle nose pliers / wire cutters, flat and phillips heads, and a There are lots of leathermans that cost a lot, but this one is inexpensive and is right for me. Please note
Everything else is taken care of by my Microtech OTF.

The leatherman I use the least is not my favorite
3/5

It has been years since I first bought the Wave. In fact, I had to replace the leather sheath with a new one. As a backup, I had to buy another model. I intend on sending the first to be serviced, so I figured I'd try another. My first impression was that the Rebar was more complicated than I thought, but the tool has everything I need right inside of it. I took this advantage for granted. As soon as you wish to use the knife, simply pull it out with your thumb, open the blade and you are ready to roll. When using the rebar, you need to fold open the whole tool, open the knife, close the tool, and then It may seem insignificant, but it can be an issue for people who use it often. My main objection is not the design, but the quality of the product.

Exactly what you pay for
5/5

It is a good middle of the road option. This booger is sturdy. Rebar, that's what it is! It was my second Leatherman, and both times I used the Rebar. I love the price and it is perfect for what I need. It came with a cool case, which is different than the one I had before. I got the black one.
The Philips full size is one of the most important aspects of this tool. There are cheaper ones with a flat Philips socket that I prefer not to use. It seems to me that this tool will easily be able to hold the bit driver instead of just a full Philips by taking the serrated blade out of the tool. That way there is more room for a The price is under $85, so it is a great option. Unlike spring-loaded pliers, needle nose pliers are not spring-loaded. Buying a wingman or cheaper model will only cost you $20 more and you won't get the quality and features that you pay for. I find this to be a very useful.

I had my wife buy me this to replace my last rebar because I lost it, but this one is nowhere near as strong and heavy as my previous In the past, I have owned many Leatherman products and have been impressed with almost all of them, but I think this one was a knockoff
3/5

Blades are loose and flimsy and the locks do not hold. I had my wife buy me this to replace my last rebar because I lost it, but this one is nowhere near as strong and heavy as my previous.
