Questions & Answers
In my conversation with a Wilton customer service rep, sledgehammers do not appear to be manufactured in the U.S.
The hammer head is 4 lbs in weight. 2 seems to be the case. The 72 lb weight is incorrect as it should be based on Kg, making the total weight around 6 lbs.

The hammer box was protected by the tape, which I assume was for safety reasons. The BASH part of the name is what I can confirm because I accidentally hit myself in the face with it once. In spite of the glancing blow, no damage was caused to the pancakes neurological system. The claim of 'unbreakable' is certainly puffery, but if they really are that solid - It is at least possible to break one by standing it on end and lowering an automotive hoist onto it [although that simply bends it rather than breaking it], but it is much harder to snap a handle by clumsily destroying one. There is a nice, cushy hand-grip and a secure grip, and the safety-strap has a kickstand After you have lost your grip on the paddle and bounced it off a steel object, you're more likely to find it due to the green head Stepped into the shady recesses of the shop, an open-toed boot in hand on the threshold. If you need to break medium-sized rocks, just smash them with a hammer. You just need a hammer for the job if you have large things.
I was hesitant to invest so much on a hammer of 4 lbs. This product feels very solid to the touch. I just wanted to let you know that the handle on the 16" version measures 16 1/4" from tip to top of the head and is not 18". As described in the description, the product measures 5". This hammer is in perfect length for a 4 pounder, and it fits in my hammer drawer perfectly.
A done deal! Exactly what you have been looking for! For example, if you have to pound something like car rotors off when they are seized on, pound it on something unforgiving with a heavy whack. You need this sledgehammer to get your job done. Strong and tough on your project, but easy on your hand. This is a great recommendation!.
It seems that some people have complained about the hammer's cosmetic flaws in the customer reviews. Are you serious? Sledgehammers are used in construction and other industries. The handle of a 2 has been run over by one of these. I used it on a 5 ton truck and it worked fine. I am in an industrial setting, and the guys will only use this brand of hammer. The brass version is most popular. Some serious abuse can be handled by them.
In order to protect myself, I purchased it. When I sleep, I keep this next to my bed. So far, I haven't had to use it, hoping in the future I will not need I use it as a decoration for my room and as a wall hanging. My height and weight are perfect for me, because I am 5 tenths of an inch and weigh 225 pounds.
There is glue between the handle and the hammer, so I am not sure if it is a standard or not. If it gets worse, I will let you know. I'm not sure how well it will hold up to heavy mechanic work, but if it does, I will let you.
It may not be as comfortable to use as my more expensive hammers, but when you need something to move and don't want to swing a 16 pound sledge, In my profession as an automotive technician, I use this hammer daily and I reach for it more often than the Matco hammer or my Snap-On hammer.
Concrete was broken as part of this project. It has a nice handle and a good weight for working.
