I'm going to ponk you.
I work for an automotive company, namely trucks (Ram 1500s and I am astonished at how well this hammer works. This is the perfect length that allows it to fit in small spaces, while the weight combined with the length allows it to swing with low effort and This one works great on stubborn brake rotors, wheel bearings, and when you have something to break. Having owned this hammer for a few weeks, I noticed that one of the tool trucks began collecting the same hammers painted in their own color for twice the price. The best tool I have ever used.
It would have been difficult to split wood with my full-sized sledge hammer. Even with two hands, this short one is easier to aim. 73 years old). Constructed from gorilla tough rubber, with a very ergonomic grip, the casting is smooth and very consistent. There is a good chance it will.
A wedge can be used to break pins or split wood pieces that are difficult to split. It is quite heavy for me at 8 pounds, but I find the workout to be enjoyable. With proper strength, it can easily be wielded despite its short length for the weight it carries. It is easier to carry around in utility vehicles because the handle is shorter. Glad to hear that.
I know guys who bought the same brand, but smaller hammer from the tool truck, and played more with it than this one. Hammer of high quality.
In confined spaces, it can easily beat pins out of heavy equipment. It would be recommended.
Wilton hammers are the only ones I have ever broken in 4 years. Unless you take the handle off, all the shock goes to the handle. An investment in tools is worth it, especially if you'll use them often. On the other hand, consider purchasing a cheaper hammer if you only need it once.
Perfect for the job site. It is very well padded so that I can drive stakes all day without any discomfort. The price is a bit high, but the quality is good. It would have been nice to have a heavier short handle.
