I like this loop because I keep my hand on my four o'clock side, hold the head and the butt slides right into the loop without me looking. This would hold almost any framing hammer and I have been carpenter for over 50 years and it is the best one I have found. I still have the one I have now.
That's pretty sure to be the case. A gift of this kind was given to one of our sons.
In short, yes. Designed to fit a belt of 3 inches wide.
Yes, the slots accommodate belts up to 3 inches wide, but smaller belts can also be used

I used to have a Stanley holster in the mid 70's and early 80's that was nearly identical. A name is on one sheet but not on the other. My preference is for a holster that conceals the hoop legs, not any of the newer style holsters. The hoop on this one is a good size, which allows hammers to hit the hole easily. A higher hoop is in place. My right hip is where I wear it. It keeps the hammer from banging my knee because I use a higher hoop. In this case, the leather is kept from rolling up by hoops sandwiched between two pieces. Occidental was my first exposure to the region. This is a nice product. I would recommend spending the extra dollars if you use it every day.
The one I chose to review seems to be very carefully constructed and I'd say that's true. As you can see, the problem I ran into is that the meatal loop is too small to easily insert and remove my hammer. I'm sure you know what I mean when I say you don't want to fight for your hammer to be able to get it. Overhead could cause the loop to be missed. There was a problem with the metal loop it was too small for the new belt, so I had to make a larger loop and re-attach the belt Re-rivet your screws once your rivets are back in place Join the leather pieces back together with a stitch. As it was, if I did not have the equipment and the shop to make another larger loop, I would have returned it.
I need my husband's belts and attachments to be comfortable, practical, and last as long as possible because he is a master carpenter. Despite using only nailguns, he still uses a hammer and not just the attachment for the nail. A DIYer would go mad if they knew how much he spent on the complete belt. They are not interested in it. There are pros to be found here. His belt was also made by the same company as his suspenders. When you check what tools and equipment your contractor uses, you can work out whether he is serious or not.
For the past 25 years, I've had a set of Occidental pouches. As well as the hanker holder, I got a stand for the hammer. As for the pouches, they are showing signs of wear, and the hammer holder finally broke (mainly from sliding on the belt. ) 25 years is a long time for something like this to last. The one I have now will still be functional after I retire. You should definitely check it out.
I can configure my work belt based on the work I am doing on any given day since I have all my items separated. Since we've been in the business for 18 years, there is no other product like it. In comparison to other inferior tool belts, I only wish the tape holder had a strap. There will be no disappointment for you!.
I really love the quality of the occi products. This is the only brand I would choose.
The last one lasted over 20 years and there potentially would have been more if I treated it properly. I feel like this new one is as well built as the previous one.
