As I was debating whether to buy this item, given the apparent conflict between the description and the item itself, I was wondering what the actual size of this item was. I have a question about this product. My item came in bright orange, but it does not matter since I am more interested in its functionality than its color. The piece measures 15" x 15" The length of the pipe is 1/2". There was some information suggesting that it was nearly 30 inches long. However, that could only be the case if the item With a weight of 52 ounces, it packs some serious punch. It took me maybe 25 years of hard use to break this after years of good A USA flag appears on the map. An item that seems to be of high quality.
Approximately 21 oz. It's proving to be the most practical tool for my automotive work and home improvement projects. My old 18 oz. had little impact for most chores, and I found it to be a bit lacking in power. When you use this 21oz dead blow hammer, you're less likely to get a job done in the right way. Happy with how things went.
They are used in the laying of It works great with lots of "punch" for setting the pavers in sand. If these weren't available to us, we would need to be more creative.
Since I could not find any other color, I decided to buy screaming orange because it is the only color I could see.
Amazon lists the weight but does not indicate whether the weight refers to the head weight or the total weight of the mallet. Interestingly, I bought brand X as well, but it didn't work as well as the brand Y. The structure inside is what I think is causing the problem.
A handy weight in the middle for a glazier - it's not too heavy for all day use. This is a very durable material.
The Stanley 42 oz. I just purchased is my second Stanley product. Using the dead blow hammer is extremely effective. More than 30 years ago, the first one was bought. In spite of its great performance, the plastic cover started adhering to itself and cracking after about thirty years. It took me a while to settle on the Stanley dead blow hammer after owning and using a number of others. You have to replace the faces every once in a while, as some still mar the surface you are striking. You also have to hold a block with your other hand, so if you don't have a third hand for holding the work, it's impossible. In order to create a great dead blow hammer, I have these four basic requirements 1.
The handle is comfortable to hold. The second paragraph. This item does not leave any marks. 2.
The bounce was completely absent. I. 4. This is a very sturdy and tough product.
Of course, it has to be the right weight. The right amount for me is It's a fine weight, however if I want to strike cutting tools, like very sharp wood chisels, I prefer a hammer that weighs about half as much. In addition to the Stanley weight, there are other weights made by Stanley. Neither the failure of the plasticizers in the hammer nor what caused them to fail can be determined. As I have "borrowed" this hammer many times from my wife and children, it has become a very popular item in my home. When my wife uses a hammer to close paint or varnish cans, she loves to tap the lids shut. The paint thinner worked its way onto the plastic cover many times as time passed, and the plastic became brittle. Or, it may just be that 30 years of heat, cold, humidity, UV, and chemicals destroy the plastic over time-- The majority of the time, it does. Dashes covered with plastic tend to crack after 30 years of use in cars.
Now my go-to hammer is a 6#, and I have an old 5# I used to use The brute here is built to do heavy work by dead blow! As long as it is in good working condition, I won't mistreat it, but I won't be shy when it comes to hitting the material hard!
This is the #1 Stanley brand that offers high quality texture without visible casting parting lines like cheap crappy hammers from China.
This is a Stanley product that is guaranteed to last.
This is a very poor product. As cheap as it looks, it must be a knockoff. There are a lot of casting issues here, and it seems that it is not going to last for Even the writing on the handle and head of the device can't be read.
