As far as I know, I only use mine on push rods for RC I can't see why those pliers wouldn't work on spokes, because they seem extremely tough.
About 0.025 inches of offset is present in the jaw of the pliers. There are 120 inches in this case. Bending a wire will in some way depend on its size.
In fact, the wire is bended into a Z shape. It can be used for servo connections or for wing mounted connections.
It seems likely that this tool would be effective on the throttle control wire on a lawn mower, given its robustness.

Bends that look like they were made in a factory. I have a brand new Hangar 9 Z-type home Just a few minutes ago, Bender Pliers were delivered. My control rod bends for a new scratch built plane are going to be made from these, after I worked on it over the weekend. It would be nice to have these items years ago, but why didn't I buy them? I think they are really well made, but I was wrong. They bend so easily, and they are heavier duty than I expected. Now it takes a few seconds to create an industrial looking z-index Instead of two pairs of pliers, two hands, and at least a minute or two to do a sloppy bend, it only takes one. Regardless of whether you builds your own aircraft or do upgrades and repairs of your own, you don't want to be without these tools.
Get a tool to do them or have someone help you. It's been a while since I made such and such For a while, the rod bends by hand. The outcome of some of them is "good" and the outcome of others is not so good. Almost always, it is a negative number This is roughly equivalent to "Two dangit" is the appropriate term. (Fold tongue at appropriate angle, twisted pliers, "dangit", repeat several times. simplify the entire process. Whenever you make rice, it will be perfect.
To let my buddy that deals with mowers and the like try them out, I took them to him. A pair of shoes will be ordered from him today.
This tool is THE one you need to do the job properly. You can't do a good job without the right tools. A push rod of 2mm diameter can easily be bent, and smaller diameters are even easier.
It's a nice way to bend z. If you are using heavier gauges of wire or cords besides old-fashioned piano wire, it will take quite a bit of muscle power.
My needs were met and I was very happy with the results. The only thing I would critique is that it is possible to over-lock the pliers if you close them with a lot of force The pliers should be used to bend the wire.
It arrived at the address I provided on time. It works well. I wish it wasn't made in mainland.
A very clean bend can be achieved with this tool. By eliminating the need for clevises, and other similar hardware, it actually saves money for the consumer. The same as other posters have posted The reason I didn't buy one of these sooner is beyond me.
